سمحت الهند للشركات الأمريكية والأجنبية الأخرى بالتقدم بعروض للحصول على عقود حكومية تزيد قيمتها على 50 مليار دولار، وفقاً لوكالات إعلامية.
وأضافت المصادر أن هذه الخطوة تهدف إلى تسريع المفاوضات التجارية بين الولايات المتحدة والهند، لتجنب نيودلهي الرسوم الجمركية التبادلية التي علقتها إدارة الرئيس دونالد ترمب حتى يوليو.
وقالت المصادر إن الهند وافقت على فتح باب المشاركة للشركات الأجنبية، وعلى رأسها الكيانات الأمريكية، للحصول على عقود حكومية، وذلك على مراحل وبشكلٍ متبادل.
وأضافت أن جزءاً فقط من عقود المشتريات الحكومية المرتبطة بمشاريع اتحادية بقيمة تتراوح بين 50 و60 مليار دولار سيُفتح للشركات الأجنبية، بينما لا تزال العقود التابعة لحكومات الولايات تقتصر على الشركات المحلية.

India has allowed American and other foreign companies to submit bids for government contracts worth over $50 billion, according to media reports.
Sources added that this step aims to accelerate trade negotiations between the United States and India, to help New Delhi avoid reciprocal tariffs that the Trump administration suspended until July.
The sources indicated that India has agreed to open the door for foreign companies, primarily American entities, to obtain government contracts, in a phased and reciprocal manner.
They added that only a portion of the government procurement contracts related to federal projects valued between $50 billion and $60 billion will be opened to foreign companies, while contracts from state governments will still be limited to local companies.
