انطلقت اليوم في مدريد محادثات تجارية بين الصين والولايات المتحدة، بمشاركة وزير الخزانة الأمريكي سكوت بيسنت، ونائب رئيس الوزراء الصيني هي ليفنغ.
وتتناول المباحثات القضايا الاقتصادية والتجارية، إضافة إلى النزاع حول تطبيق «تيك توك»، في ظل مهلة تنتهي في 17 سبتمبر الجاري؛ لإيجاد مشترٍ غير صيني للتطبيق أو مواجهة حظره في الولايات المتحدة.
وتأتي هذه الاجتماعات بعد أشهر من التوترات التجارية وفرض رسوم جمركية متبادلة بلغت مستويات قياسية مطلع العام الحالي، قبل أن يتوصل الطرفان إلى تهدئة خُفّضت بموجبها الرسوم إلى 30% أمريكية و10% صينية، مع تجميد أي زيادات إضافية حتى نوفمبر القادم.
من ناحية أخرى، أفادت وزارة التجارة الصينية، في بيان صدر أمس، بأنها بدأت تحقيقاً لمكافحة الإغراق يستهدف بعض الرقائق التناظرية القادمة من الولايات المتحدة.
قائمة الكيانات
جاء هذا الإعلان بعد يوم واحد من إضافة الولايات المتحدة المزيد من الشركات الصينية على قائمة الكيانات، وقبيل اجتماع مرتقب في مدريد بين وزير الخزانة الأمريكي سكوت بيسنت، ونائب رئيس الوزراء الصيني هي ليفنغ لإجراء محادثات بشأن التجارة وقضايا أخرى.
وكان إعلان حكومي نشر في السجل الاتحادي بالولايات المتحدة، أن واشنطن أضافت، أخيراً، 32 كياناً إلى قائمة وزارة التجارة للكيانات التجارية الخاضعة لقيود، منها 23 كياناً من الصين.
وطالبت وزارة الخزانة الأمريكية مجموعة الدول الصناعية السبع والدول الحليفة في الاتحاد الأوروبي بفرض رسوم جمركية مؤثرة على الواردات من الصين والهند لوقف مشترياتهما من النفط الروسي.
Today in Madrid, trade talks began between China and the United States, featuring U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Pisenet and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng.
The discussions address economic and trade issues, in addition to the dispute over the application of "TikTok," with a deadline ending on September 17 to find a non-Chinese buyer for the app or face a ban in the United States.
These meetings come after months of trade tensions and reciprocal tariffs that reached record levels at the beginning of this year, before both parties reached a de-escalation that reduced tariffs to 30% for the U.S. and 10% for China, with any additional increases frozen until next November.
On another note, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce reported in a statement issued yesterday that it has initiated an anti-dumping investigation targeting certain analog chips coming from the United States.
Entity List
This announcement came just one day after the United States added more Chinese companies to the entity list, ahead of an anticipated meeting in Madrid between U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Pisenet and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng to discuss trade and other issues.
A government announcement published in the Federal Register in the United States stated that Washington has recently added 32 entities to the Commerce Department's list of entities subject to restrictions, including 23 entities from China.
The U.S. Treasury Department has urged the Group of Seven industrialized nations and allied countries in the European Union to impose significant tariffs on imports from China and India to halt their purchases of Russian oil.
