أكد الأمين العام لمنظمة الدول المصدرة للنفط هيثم الغيص أن «أوبك» تتوقع طلباً قوياً جداً على النفط خلال الربع الثالث من العام الحالي، مع بقاء التوازن بين العرض والطلب في مستويات ضيّقة خلال الأشهر التالية.
وأضاف «الغيص» على هامش ندوة «أوبك» التي عُقدت أخيراً في فيينا، أن المنظمة تتوقع نمواً في الطلب قدره 1.3 مليون برميل يومياً على أساس سنوي في عام 2025، وذلك بفضل قوة الاقتصاد العالمي، بحسب ما نقلته وكالة «ريا نوفوستي» الروسية.
واستطرد «الغيص» في تصريحاته التي نقلتها الوكالة أمس (الإثنين): «في ظل اقتراب مستويات العرض من الطلب، وما يترتب على ذلك من هامش محدود في التوازن السوقي، تُعد هذه الظروف من العوامل الرئيسية التي تدفع مجموعة الدول الثماني إلى إعادة ضخّ النفط إلى السوق».
ورغم هذه التوقعات الإيجابية للطلب القصير الأجل، قلّصت «أوبك» الأسبوع الماضي تقديراتها للطلب العالمي على النفط خلال السنوات الأربع القادمة، في ظل تباطؤ النمو الاقتصادي في الصين، لكنها رفعت توقعاتها للطلب على الأجل الطويل، مدعوماً بزيادة الاستهلاك في الدول النامية.

The Secretary-General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Haitham Al-Ghais, confirmed that OPEC expects very strong demand for oil during the third quarter of this year, with the balance between supply and demand remaining tight in the coming months.
Al-Ghais added on the sidelines of the recent OPEC seminar held in Vienna that the organization anticipates a demand growth of 1.3 million barrels per day on a year-on-year basis in 2025, thanks to the strength of the global economy, according to what was reported by the Russian news agency RIA Novosti.
Al-Ghais continued in his statements reported by the agency yesterday (Monday): "As supply levels approach demand, and the resulting limited margin in market balance, these conditions are among the main factors driving the group of eight countries to reinject oil into the market."
Despite these positive short-term demand forecasts, OPEC reduced its estimates for global oil demand over the next four years last week, amid a slowdown in economic growth in China, but raised its long-term demand expectations, supported by increased consumption in developing countries.
