توقّع الشاعرة أفراح مبارك الصباح، يوم الخميس التاسع من أكتوبر، في منصة التوقيعات بحرم جامعة الأميرة نورة، الساعة السادسة مساء، في معرض الرياض الدولي للكتاب؛ النسخة الأحدث من مجموعتها الشعريّة «صندوق».
ويعدّ الحضور الأول لها في المشهد الثقافي السعودي عقب سلسلة من المشاركات الخليجية والعربية، إذ إن تجربتها إضافة للحركة الأدبية والثقافية في الخليج العربي، كما أن تجربتها الشعرية عميقة التعبير عن الإنسان بصدق وشفافية شأنها في التعبير عن الذات والمشاعر، إضافة إلى أنها مولعة بالموسيقى، وتتقن العزف على آلتي القانون والعود، وترى أن عالمها الشعري مدوزن على نوتة مموسقة بالفطرة. يذكر أن الشاعرة نشأت في بيئة ثقافية ثريّة، فوالدها مبارك عبدالله الجابر ملهمها ومحفزها الأول مثقف نوعيّ، ووالد جدها عبدالله الجابر أول وزير معارف في الكويت وشخصية تربوية وثقافية رائدة.
وسبق أن أصدرت الشاعرة دواوين عدة، منها: «عويلٌ لصمتٍ لا يُسمع»، و«شغف أزرق»، وتمت ترجمة بعض من قصائدها إلى الإنجليزية.
The poet Afrah Mubarak Al-Sabah will sign her latest poetry collection "Box" on Thursday, October 9th, at the signing platform in the Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University campus, at 6 PM, during the Riyadh International Book Fair.
This marks her first appearance in the Saudi cultural scene following a series of Gulf and Arab participations, as her experience adds to the literary and cultural movement in the Arabian Gulf. Her poetic experience deeply expresses humanity with sincerity and transparency, reflecting on the self and emotions. Additionally, she has a passion for music and is skilled at playing the qanun and oud, believing that her poetic world is naturally tuned to a melodic note. It is worth mentioning that the poet grew up in a rich cultural environment, with her father, Mubarak Abdullah Al-Jaber, being her first inspiration and motivator, a distinguished intellectual, and her grandfather Abdullah Al-Jaber being the first Minister of Education in Kuwait and a pioneering educational and cultural figure.
The poet has previously published several collections, including: "A Wail for a Silence That Cannot Be Heard" and "Blue Passion," and some of her poems have been translated into English.
