فُجع المشهد الثقافي في المملكة والوطن العربي برحيل الشاعر موسى محرّق في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، حيث كان الفقيد يقضي إجازة منذ أيام عدة، وبحسب عائلته لم يكن يعاني أي متاعب.
وسيرة الفقيد حافلة بالعمل الإعلامي والأدبي، وله قصائد تتغنى بالحُبّ والحياة، وكان عمله ناطقاً إعلامياً لجامعة جازان آخر منصب تبوأه.
وكان الشاعر موسى محرّق قد شارك أخيراً ضمن فعاليات جناح المملكة في معرض أبوظبي الدولي للكتاب 2025 في نهاية أبريل الماضي، حيث أدار ندوة بعنوان (الشعر والهوية.. الشعر الحديث صوت الإنسانية)، وشاركت في الندوة الدكتورة عبير الجربوع، وناقشا خلالها دور الشعر في التعبير عن الإنسان وهويته، وتوثيقه التحولات الاجتماعية والسياسية.
ونعت جامعة جازان عبر حسابها الرسمي في منصة «X» الشاعر الراحل: «تنعى جامعة جازان الزميل الأستاذ موسى محرّق، سائلين الله أن يتغمد الفقيد بواسع رحمته».
كما نعاه عدد من الكتّاب والأكاديميين، إذ كتب الأديب عبده خال :" أي حزن تضيفه يا موسى ؟ رحم الله الشاعر الصديق موسى محرق ، العزاء لأنفسنا ،ولأهله ،وأصدقائه.يا الله رحمتك ، ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بك".
وقال الكاتب خيرات الأمير: «رحل الشاعر والإعلامي موسى محرّق إلى رحمة الله». وأضاف: «رحيله المؤلم تسبب في فجيعة لكل محبيه من الوسط الثقافي والإعلامي من أبناء منطقة جازان والمملكة بشكل عام».
ولفت خيرات إلى أن وفاته كانت في أمريكا أثناء قضائه إجازة، لافتاً إلى أنه لم يكن يعاني أي متاعب أو أمراض تذكر بحسب ذويه.
الأكاديمي محمد المسعودي نعى الراحل قائلاً: «أنعى العزيز موسى محرّق، متحدث جامعة جازان الرسمي، أحد الأسماء البارزة في صحيفة الوطن، وزميل البدايات الجميلة فيها، كان قلباً أنيقاً، ورفيق درب ذا حضور وطاقة إيجابية نادرة، غفر الله له، وأسكنه فسيح جناته، وألهم أهله وذويه ومحبيه الصبر والسلوان».
ونعاه الإعلامي سعود البلوي قائلاً: «رحم الله الزميل موسى محرّق وأسكنه فسيح جناته، زاملته لسنوات متحدثاً رسمياً باسم جامعة جازان، إلى أن اعتذر في بدايات العام الحالي، كان قمةً في الخُلق الطيب، متواصلاً بفاعلية بكل رحابة صدر، أسأل الله العظيم له الرحمة والمغفرة، وكل التعازي لأسرته الكريمة».
وقال الإعلامي محمد آل ناجم: «رحم الله الأخ والصديق موسى محرّق وأسكنه فسيح جناته، إن العين لتدمع وإن القلب ليحزن وإنا على فراقه لمفجوعون، نسأل الله له الرحمة والمغفرة وأنّ يتجاوز عنه ويلهم أهله وذويه الصبر والسلوان».
The cultural scene in the Kingdom and the Arab world was devastated by the passing of poet Moussa Muharreq in the United States, where the deceased had been on vacation for several days. According to his family, he was not suffering from any ailments.
The late poet had a rich career in media and literature, with poems celebrating love and life. His last position was as a spokesperson for Jazan University.
Recently, poet Moussa Muharreq participated in the activities of the Kingdom's pavilion at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2025 at the end of last April, where he moderated a seminar titled (Poetry and Identity... Modern Poetry as the Voice of Humanity). Dr. Abeer Al-Jarbooa participated in the seminar, and they discussed the role of poetry in expressing human identity and documenting social and political transformations.
Jazan University mourned the late poet through its official account on the "X" platform: "Jazan University mourns our colleague, Mr. Moussa Muharreq, asking God to envelop the deceased in His vast mercy."
Several writers and academics also mourned him. Writer Abdu Khal wrote: "What sadness do you add, O Moussa? May God have mercy on the poet friend Moussa Muharreq. Our condolences to ourselves, his family, and his friends. O God, Your mercy, and there is no power and no strength except with You."
Writer Khayrat Al-Amir said: "The poet and media figure Moussa Muharreq has passed away to the mercy of God." He added: "His painful departure has caused grief for all his admirers in the cultural and media circles from the people of the Jazan region and the Kingdom in general."
Khayrat noted that his death occurred in America while he was on vacation, pointing out that he was not suffering from any notable ailments or diseases according to his relatives.
He concluded by saying: "The deceased previously worked as a spokesperson for Jazan University; may God have mercy on him."
Academic Mohammed Al-Masoudi mourned the late poet, saying: "I mourn my dear Moussa Muharreq, the official spokesperson for Jazan University, one of the prominent names in Al-Watan newspaper, and a colleague from its beautiful beginnings. He had a kind heart and was a companion with a rare presence and positive energy. May God forgive him, grant him spacious gardens, and inspire his family, relatives, and loved ones with patience and solace."
Media figure Saud Al-Balawi mourned him, saying: "May God have mercy on my colleague Moussa Muharreq and grant him spacious gardens. I worked alongside him for years as the official spokesperson for Jazan University until he resigned at the beginning of this year. He was a paragon of good character, always engaging with great openness. I ask the Almighty God to grant him mercy and forgiveness, and my condolences to his esteemed family."
Media figure Mohammed Al-Najm said: "May God have mercy on my brother and friend Moussa Muharreq and grant him spacious gardens. The eye sheds tears, and the heart is saddened, and we are indeed devastated by his departure. We ask God for him mercy and forgiveness, and to grant his family and loved ones patience and solace."
