نسب موقع «سيمافور» الإخباري الأمريكي إلى مصادر وصفها بأنها مطلعة قولها إن الكيانات الحكومية السعودية تلقت توجيهات بتجميد الدفع للمستشارين الإستراتيجيين والإداريين وشركات المحاماة، وأن تلك التوجيهات تنطبق على الوزارات، والكيانات التي تسيطر عليها الحكومة، ومنها صندوق استثمار الثروة السيادية السعودية، وعددٌ من الشركات التابعة له.
وطبقاً لمصادر «سيمافور» فإن هذه التوجيهات صدرت في وقت سابق من الشهر الحالي، وسيستمر العمل بها حتى نهاية شهر يونيو القادم.
وكانت صحيفة «فايننشال تايمز» البريطانية ذكرت يوم (الخميس) الماضي أن المملكة قررت التوقف عن أي تكليفات جديدة للمستشارين الغربيين.
وأوضح «سيمافور» أن التجميد يشمل العمل في عقود حالية، ووقف التعاقد مع الاستشاريين لعقود جديدة. وطُلب من المتعاقد معهم لتكليفات قصيرة المدى التعجيل باستكمال مهماتهم. وطلبت بعض الجهات الحكومية استثناءها بسبب تعاقداتها الضرورية.
The American news site "Semafor" attributed to sources it described as informed that Saudi government entities have been instructed to freeze payments to strategic and administrative consultants and law firms, and that these instructions apply to ministries and entities controlled by the government, including the Saudi Public Investment Fund and several of its affiliated companies.
According to "Semafor" sources, these instructions were issued earlier this month and will remain in effect until the end of June.
The British newspaper "Financial Times" reported last Thursday that the Kingdom has decided to halt any new assignments for Western consultants.
“Semafor” clarified that the freeze includes work on current contracts and the suspension of contracting with consultants for new contracts. Those contracted for short-term assignments have been asked to expedite the completion of their tasks. Some government entities have requested exemptions due to their essential contracts.
