أحدثت الطبيبة مي كمال الدين موجة واسعة من الجدل بعد أن حذفت جميع صور طليقها الفنان أحمد مكي من حسابها على (إنستغرام)، في خطوة جاءت بالتزامن مع إعلان زواجها رسميًا في لندن، وبعد ساعات فقط من نشر رسالة عاطفية وجّهتها إليه وأثارت تساؤلات حول طبيعة العلاقة بينهما عقب الانفصال.
وجاء حذف الصور بعد يوم واحد من الرسالة التي تحدثت فيها مي عن مكانة مكي في حياتها، مستخدمةً عبارات عاطفية ربطت فيها بين اسميهما والذكريات المشتركة، ما جعل توقيت الخطوة محط اهتمام المتابعين، خاصة أنها تزامنت مع إعلان زواجها الجديد.
وفي الوقت نفسه، نشرت مي صورًا من حفل زفافها في لندن، إلى جانب صور لعقد الزواج، مع حرصها على إخفاء هوية زوجها وعدم الكشف عن اسمه، مكتفية بتعليق يعبر عن امتنانها وسعادتها بهذه الخطوة الجديدة في حياتها.

The deletion of the photos came just one day after the message in which Mai spoke about Mekky's significance in her life, using emotional phrases that linked their names with shared memories, making the timing of the move a focal point of interest for followers, especially as it coincided with the announcement of her new marriage.
At the same time, Mai posted pictures from her wedding in London, along with photos of the marriage contract, while ensuring to conceal her husband's identity and not revealing his name, contenting herself with a caption expressing her gratitude and happiness with this new step in her life.
