شهدت نقابة المهن التمثيلية في مصر اجتماعاً موسعاً ضم عدداً كبيراً من الفنانين وصناع الدراما، في خطوة تستهدف تحريك ملف حقوق الأداء العلني، باعتباره أحد الملفات التي يسعى الوسط الفني إلى تفعيلها بما يضمن الحفاظ على الحقوق الأدبية والمادية للفنانين.

وكشفت الفنانة إلهام شاهين، عبر حسابها الرسمي على موقع (إنستغرام)، أن الاجتماع شهد مشاركة الفنان يحيى الفخراني، ونقيب المهن التمثيلية أشرف زكي، والنائب الفنان ياسر جلال، إلى جانب عدد كبير من النجوم والمخرجين والكتاب، في حضور وصفته بأنه عكس حجم الاهتمام بهذا الملف.
حقوق الأداء العلني
وأوضحت شاهين أن الحضور ناقشوا أهمية تطبيق قانون حقوق الأداء العلني في مصر، بما يتماشى مع الأنظمة المعمول بها في العديد من الدول، مؤكدةً أن الهدف هو ضمان حصول الفنانين على حقوقهم أسوة بما يحدث في الولايات المتحدة وأوروبا وعدد من الدول العربية.
وأشادت الفنانة بالدور الذي لعبه يحيى الفخراني في طرح هذا الملف منذ سنوات، مشيرة إلى أن الجهود مستمرة لاستكمال خطوات تفعيله بمشاركة الفنان ياسر جلال وعدد من أعضاء النقابة، معربةً عن تقديرها لكل من شارك في الاجتماع، ومتمنيةً أن تثمر هذه التحركات عن نتائج تصب في مصلحة الفنانين المصريين.

تزامن الاجتماع مع تصاعد الجدل حول حقوق الأداء العلني، في ظل مطالبة الفنانين بتقنينها، مقابل اعتراض عدد من شركات الإنتاج وغرفة صناعة السينما لتطبيق هذا الحق، مستندة إلى تفسيرات قانونية ترى أنها لا تلزمها بسداد تلك المستحقات.
The Actors' Syndicate in Egypt held an extensive meeting that included a large number of artists and drama producers, in a step aimed at advancing the issue of public performance rights, as it is one of the files that the artistic community seeks to activate to ensure the preservation of the moral and financial rights of artists.

Actress Elham Shahin revealed through her official account on (Instagram) that the meeting saw the participation of actor Yahya El-Fakharany, the head of the Actors' Syndicate Ashraf Zaki, and the artist and MP Yasser Galal, along with a large number of stars, directors, and writers, in attendance that she described as reflecting the level of interest in this issue.
Public Performance Rights
Shahin explained that the attendees discussed the importance of implementing the law on public performance rights in Egypt, in line with the systems in place in many countries, emphasizing that the goal is to ensure that artists receive their rights similar to what happens in the United States, Europe, and several Arab countries.
The actress praised the role played by Yahya El-Fakharany in raising this issue for years, noting that efforts are ongoing to complete the steps for its activation with the participation of artist Yasser Galal and several members of the syndicate, expressing her appreciation for everyone who participated in the meeting, and hoping that these movements will yield results that benefit Egyptian artists.
Background of the Controversy
The meeting coincided with the rising controversy surrounding public performance rights, amid demands from artists to regulate them, against the objections of several production companies and the Cinema Industry Chamber to implement this right, based on legal interpretations that they believe do not obligate them to pay these dues.
