The name of Egyptian artist Mohamed Ramadan has once again taken center stage, but this time through two different gateways: a provocative statement regarding his absence from Ramadan drama, and a wide debate about the impact of his old works following an incident where a young man in Benha was assaulted and forced to wear a "dance suit".

The story began with a direct question posed to the Egyptian artist by one of his followers on social media: "Why did you stop making a series for Ramadan?" The response was brief and surprising: "Because I am Ramadan." The comment ignited social media platforms, with supporters considering him confident and accustomed to his striking statements, while critics saw it as a display of stardom. Ramadan has been absent from the Ramadan drama season for the third consecutive year, after being one of the most prominent faces in the race for years.

In parallel, Ramadan announced the release of his new song "Sah Sah" in collaboration with Lara Trump, a move that generated significant interest before its launch. The work became available on all platforms, and Ramadan expressed his confidence in its success, affirming that the song received noticeable interaction even before its release.

The artist continues his musical activity after a series of works including: "Wala Leila," "I Don’t Know," "Ma'ak Lil Soboh," and "Toxic," which he wrote and composed himself.

In a separate development, the incident of a group of young men assaulting a young man in Benha sparked widespread outrage after a video clip circulated showing him being forced to wear a "dance suit" before being assaulted.

A large number of social media users re-shared scenes from the series "El Ostoura," in which Ramadan portrayed the character "Nasser El Desouki," considering that what happened resembles one of the famous dramatic scenes in the work.

Opinions were divided between those who held the drama responsible for "promoting thuggery," and those who believed that blaming an artistic work for individual behavior is an oversimplification of the problem, emphasizing that societal violence is deeper than a theatrical scene.

This incident reopened an old discussion about the impact of drama on the behaviors of youth, and the role of content creators in reinforcing or confronting certain phenomena. Some called for the necessity of raising awareness about the dangers of mimicking violent scenes, while others stressed the importance of upbringing and family supervision before directing accusations at artistic works.
