تناقلت مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي أنباء عن القبض على صانعة المحتوى الدكتورة خلود وزوجها أمين غباشي في مطار الكويت خلال عودتهما إلى البلاد، وإحالتهما الى التحقيق بتهمة غسل الأموال.
صمت الزوجين
وفيما نشرت بعض الصفحات المعنية بأخبار الفن والمشاهير هذه الأنباء التزمت الدكتورة خلود وزوجها الصمت ولم يصرحا بذلك، كما لم تصدر جهات الأمن في الكويت ما يفيد بالقبض على الثنائي الشهير.
وتفاعل العديد من رواد مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي مع أنباء القبض على الدكتورة خلود وأمين، وأكد بعضهم بأن المصادر الرسمية من وزارة الداخلية الكويتية لم تعلن عن الأمر، وطالبوا بالكف عن ترويج الأخبار دون التأكد من صحتها.
اتهامات مغرضة
وحول الجدل المثار حول الدكتورة خلود بشأن ممارسة الطب وشبهات غسل الأموال، أكدت قبل أسابيع حملها لقب «دكتورة» لأنها تخرجت من كلية الطب بالفعل، وليس ادعاءً أو مجاملة، مشيرة إلى امتلاكها عيادة خاصة.
وعن الانتقادات التي واجهتها حيال الهدايا الفاخرة التي تتلقاها والشائعات المتداولة حول مصدر ثروتها ودخلها، أوضحت أن بعض الأشياء تلقتها كهدية، من بينها الساعة التي ظهرت بها في عيد الحب المرصعة بالألماس وتبلغ قيمتها نحو 120 ألف دينار كويتي، أي ما يقارب نصف مليون دولار أمريكي. وأضافت: «الساعة جميلة وتستحق سعرها، لكن عندما ارتديتها أنا، منحتها قيمة وجمالاً مختلفين».
ولم تغفل الدكتورة خلود الرد على ما يُثار بشأن ثروة زوجها، إذ نفت بشكل قاطع الاتهامات التي وصفتها بالمغرضة، مؤكدة عمل زوجها في مجال الإعلانات وامتلاكه شركه خاصة، إلى جانب نشاطه في القطاع العقاري.
وفيما يتعلق بالشبهات المالية التي يتم تداولها من وقت لآخر، قالت الدكتورة خلود: «الرقابة المالية أمر طبيعي في أي دولة قانون، والجهات الرسمية تتدخل للتحقق عند حدوث أي تضخم في الحسابات المالية، في إطار إجراءات قانونية تهدف إلى ضمان الشفافية وحماية الجميع». واختتمت حديثها بالتأكيد على أن جميع مصادر دخلهما واضحة ومعلنة، وأنهما يعيشان في ظل دولة مؤسسات وقانون.
غسل أموال المشاهير
وأعادت هذه الأنباء إلى الأذهان القضية الشهيرة التي تصدرت اهتمام وسائل الإعلام في 2020 وعُرفت باسم قضية غسل أموال المشاهير في الكويت، وأحالت النيابة العامة على إثرها عددا من مشاهير التواصل الاجتماعي إلى التحقيق، وتحفظت على أموالهم، وفرضت قيود سفر عليهم وحظرت تعاملاتهم البنكية بسبب شبهات تراكم ثروات غير مبررة وغسل أموال عبر حساباتهم وأنشطتهم الإعلانية.
وضمت القضية في حينها أسماء العديد من المشاهير لم تكن الدكتورة خلود وزوجها من بينهم، وبعد سنوات من التحقيق في القضية، أصدر البنك المركزي الكويتي توجيهات برفع الحظر عن حسابات المشاهير بعد مراجعة الأوضاع، ورفع حظر السفر عن العديد منهم.

While some pages dedicated to entertainment and celebrity news published this information, Dr. Khulood and her husband remained silent and did not comment on it, nor did the security authorities in Kuwait issue any statement confirming the arrest of the famous couple.
Many social media users reacted to the news of Dr. Khulood and Amin's arrest, with some confirming that official sources from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior had not announced anything regarding the matter, and they called for an end to the promotion of news without verifying its accuracy.
Malicious Accusations
Regarding the controversy surrounding Dr. Khulood about practicing medicine and the suspicions of money laundering, she confirmed weeks ago that she holds the title of "Doctor" because she graduated from medical school, not as a claim or flattery, noting that she owns a private clinic.
Regarding the criticisms she faced concerning the luxurious gifts she receives and the rumors circulating about the source of her wealth and income, she clarified that some items were received as gifts, including the diamond-studded watch she wore on Valentine's Day, valued at around 120,000 Kuwaiti Dinars, which is nearly half a million US dollars. She added, "The watch is beautiful and worth its price, but when I wore it, I gave it a different value and beauty."
Dr. Khulood did not overlook responding to the speculation about her husband's wealth, as she categorically denied the accusations she described as malicious, confirming that her husband works in advertising and owns a private company, in addition to his activity in the real estate sector.
Regarding the financial suspicions that are circulated from time to time, Dr. Khulood said, "Financial oversight is a normal matter in any law-abiding country, and official authorities intervene to verify any inflation in financial accounts, within legal procedures aimed at ensuring transparency and protecting everyone." She concluded her remarks by emphasizing that all their income sources are clear and declared, and that they live under a state of institutions and law.
Money Laundering of Celebrities
This news brought to mind the famous case that captured media attention in 2020, known as the celebrity money laundering case in Kuwait, which led the public prosecution to refer several social media celebrities for investigation, seizing their assets, imposing travel restrictions on them, and banning their banking transactions due to suspicions of accumulating unaccounted wealth and money laundering through their accounts and advertising activities.
The case at that time included the names of many celebrities, among whom Dr. Khulood and her husband were not included. After years of investigation into the case, the Central Bank of Kuwait issued directives to lift the ban on the accounts of the celebrities after reviewing the situations, and lifted the travel ban on many of them.
