تقدّم محامٍ مصري ببلاغ رسمي إلى النائب العام، طالب فيه بمنع عرض الفيلم السينمائي الجديد «سفاح التجمع» في دور السينما، معتبراً أن العمل يستند إلى وقائع حقيقية ما زالت حاضرة في الذاكرة العامة، وتحمل أبعاداً تمس حرمة الموتى وتؤثر في مشاعر أسر الضحايا.
وأوضح المحامي في بلاغه، أن تناول هذه القصة الواقعية درامياً، دون مراعاة كافية للجوانب الإنسانية والاجتماعية، قد ينعكس سلباً على الرأي العام، ويتعارض مع القيم المجتمعية السائدة. ووفقاً لوسائل إعلام مصرية، أقام المحامي كذلك دعوى عاجلة أمام محكمة القضاء الإداري بمجلس الدولة، طالب فيها بوقف عرض الفيلم إلى حين الفصل في مشروعيته القانونية.
واعتبر مقدّم البلاغ، أن إعادة تمثيل الأحداث المرتبطة بالجريمة تشكّل انتهاكاً لمشاعر عائلات الضحايا، وتفتح جراحاً لم تندمل بعد، فضلاً عن تعريض المجتمع لمشاهد تثير الصدمة أو تؤثر على الذوق العام.
ويأتي هذا الجدل في وقت أعلن فيه صُنّاع الفيلم الانتهاء من عمليات التصوير، إذ أشار مؤلف ومخرج العمل محمد صلاح العزب، عبر حسابه على «فيسبوك»، إلى اكتمال التصوير، تمهيداً لعرضه خلال الفترة القادمة، ما زاد من حدة النقاش حول مصير الفيلم.
وتستند أحداث «سفاح التجمع» إلى قضية حقيقية هزّت المجتمع المصري، بعد صدور حكم بالإعدام شنقاً عام 2024 بحق كريم سليم، المعروف إعلامياً بهذا اللقب، بعد إدانته بقتل 3 فتيات وإلقاء جثثهن في مناطق صحراوية نائية، وهي القضية التي أثارت حينها موجة غضب واستنكار واسعَين.
وفي المقابل، يطرح العمل السينمائي تساؤلات متزايدة حول حدود المعالجة الدرامية للجرائم الواقعية، وكيفية تحقيق التوازن بين السرد الفني واحترام القيم الإنسانية وحقوق الضحايا.
ويشارك في بطولة الفيلم أحمد الفيشاوي، سينتيا خليفة، إنتصار، مريم الجندي وآية سليم، وهو من تأليف وإخراج محمد صلاح العزب.
A Egyptian lawyer has filed an official complaint with the Attorney General, requesting a ban on the screening of the new film "The Gathering Serial Killer" in cinemas, considering that the work is based on real events that are still present in public memory, and carries dimensions that violate the sanctity of the deceased and affect the feelings of the victims' families.
The lawyer explained in his complaint that addressing this true story dramatically, without sufficient consideration of the human and social aspects, could negatively impact public opinion and contradict prevailing societal values. According to Egyptian media, the lawyer also filed an urgent lawsuit before the Administrative Court of the State Council, demanding a halt to the film's screening until the legality of its presentation is determined.
The complainant considered that reenacting the events related to the crime constitutes a violation of the feelings of the victims' families, reopening wounds that have not yet healed, in addition to exposing society to scenes that provoke shock or affect public taste.
This controversy comes at a time when the filmmakers announced the completion of filming, as the writer and director of the work, Mohamed Salah Al-Azab, indicated via his Facebook account that filming has been completed, in preparation for its release in the coming period, which intensified the debate about the film's fate.
The events of "The Gathering Serial Killer" are based on a real case that shook Egyptian society, following a death sentence by hanging issued in 2024 against Karim Salim, known in the media by this title, after being convicted of killing three girls and dumping their bodies in remote desert areas, a case that at the time sparked widespread outrage and condemnation.
In contrast, the cinematic work raises increasing questions about the limits of dramatic treatment of real crimes and how to achieve a balance between artistic narration and respecting human values and the rights of victims.
The film stars Ahmed El Fishawy, Cynthia Khalifa, Entsar, Mariam El Gendy, and Aya Selim, and is written and directed by Mohamed Salah Al-Azab.
