كشف المخرج المصري شادي الفخراني سبب غياب والده الفنان الكبير يحيى الفخراني عن حفل تكريمه في أحد المهرجانات الفنية التي نظمتها الجامعة البريطانية بالقاهرة، تقديراً لمسيرته الفنية المتميزة، نافياً ما تردد عن تعرضه لأي وعكة صحية.
سبب الغياب
وأوضح شادي الفخراني في تصريح خاص لـ«عكاظ»، أن والده اعتذر عن الحضور بسبب انشغاله بتصوير أحدث أعماله المسرحية «الملك لير»، مؤكداً أنه كان حريصاً على المشاركة في الحفل لولا ارتباطه بمواعيد العمل.
نفي الشائعات
وشدد الفخراني على أن والده يتمتع بصحة جيدة، ولا يعاني من أي مشكلات صحية كما أُشيع، موجهاً الشكر لإدارة المهرجان على هذا التكريم.
عودة الفخراني بـ«الملك لير»
يذكر أن يحيى الفخراني عاد مجدداً لتقديم مسرحية «الملك لير» للمرة الثالثة على خشبة المسرح القومي، بعد تقديمها لأول مرة في 2001 على المسرح نفسه، ثم أعاد تقديمها في 2019 مع القطاع الخاص.
ويشارك في بطولة المسرحية، إلى جانب يحيى الفخراني، كل من؛ طارق الدسوقي، عادل خلف، تامر الكاشف، ريم عبدالحليم، طارق شرف، محمد العزايزي، محمد حسن.
The Egyptian director Shadi Al-Fakharani revealed the reason for his father, the great artist Yahya Al-Fakharani's absence from the ceremony honoring him at one of the artistic festivals organized by the British University in Cairo, in appreciation of his distinguished artistic career, denying rumors that he had suffered any health issues.

Shadi Al-Fakharani explained in a special statement to "Okaz" that his father apologized for attending due to being busy filming his latest theatrical work "King Lear," confirming that he was keen to participate in the ceremony had it not been for his work commitments.

Al-Fakharani emphasized that his father is in good health and does not suffer from any health problems as rumored, expressing gratitude to the festival management for this honor.
Al-Fakharani's Return with "King Lear"
It is worth mentioning that Yahya Al-Fakharani has returned to present the play "King Lear" for the third time on the national theater stage, after first presenting it in 2001 on the same stage, and then re-presenting it in 2019 with the private sector.
Alongside Yahya Al-Fakharani, the cast of the play includes; Tarek Al-Dasouqi, Adel Khalaf, Tamer Al-Kashif, Reem Abdel Halim, Tarek Sharaf, Mohamed Al-Azayzi, and Mohamed Hassan.
