أعرب رئيس مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي الفنان المصري حسين فهمي، عن سعادته البالغة بالمشاركة اللافتة للأفلام السعودية في الدورة الـ46 من المهرجان، المقرر إقامتها خلال الفترة من 12 إلى 21 نوفمبر 2025.
تطور السينما السعودية
وقال فهمي في تصريح خاص لـ«عكاظ» إنه يشعر بالسعادة والفخر بالتطور الثقافي والفني الذي تشهده المملكة العربية السعودية في السنوات الأخيرة، مؤكداً أن مشاركة عدد كبير من الأفلام السعودية في المهرجان هذا العام تعكس هذا الازدهار.
وأضاف: «نسعد دائماً بمشاركة أعمال من مختلف دول الوطن العربي، فمهرجان القاهرة السينمائي يفتح أبوابه أمام كل التجارب الإبداعية المتميزة التي تثري المشهد السينمائي العربي».
جدل حول «البوستر»
وعلق حسين فهمي على الجدل الذي أثير حول البوستر المبدئي للدورة الـ46 من مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، موضحاً أن النسخة الرسمية ستُطرح خلال اليومين القادمين.
وأوضح فهمي أن ما حدث كان مجرد سوء فهم في اختيار بعض الألوان والتفاصيل البصرية، لذلك قررت إدارة المهرجان تغيير البوستر ليظهر بالصورة التي تعبّر عن هوية المهرجان الفنية.
تكريمات الدورة الجديدة
يُذكر أن إدارة الدورة الـ46 لمهرجان القاهرة السينمائي أعلنت تكريم الفنان خالد النبوي بجائزة فاتن حمامة للتميز، تقديراً لمسيرته السينمائية الطويلة، ومن المقرر تكريم عدد من النجوم بجائزة الهرم الذهبي، من بينهم المخرج المصري محمد عبدالعزيز ومدير التصوير محمود عبدالسميع، وغيرهما من رموز السينما المصرية.
The President of the Cairo International Film Festival, Egyptian artist Hussein Fahmy, expressed his immense happiness with the remarkable participation of Saudi films in the 46th edition of the festival, scheduled to take place from November 12 to 21, 2025.
Development of Saudi Cinema
Fahmy stated in a special comment to "Okaz" that he feels joy and pride in the cultural and artistic development that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has witnessed in recent years, affirming that the participation of a large number of Saudi films in the festival this year reflects this prosperity.
He added: "We are always pleased to showcase works from various Arab countries, as the Cairo International Film Festival opens its doors to all distinguished creative experiences that enrich the Arab cinematic scene."
Controversy Over the "Poster"
Hussein Fahmy commented on the controversy surrounding the initial poster for the 46th edition of the Cairo International Film Festival, clarifying that the official version will be released in the coming two days.
Fahmy explained that what happened was merely a misunderstanding in the choice of some colors and visual details, which is why the festival management decided to change the poster to reflect the artistic identity of the festival.
Honors of the New Edition
It is worth noting that the management of the 46th Cairo International Film Festival announced the honoring of artist Khaled Nabawy with the Faten Hamama Excellence Award, in appreciation of his long cinematic career. Several stars are set to be honored with the Golden Pyramid Award, including Egyptian director Mohamed Abdel Aziz and cinematographer Mahmoud Abdel Samie, among other icons of Egyptian cinema.
