أصدرت محكمة القضاء الإداري في مصر، اليوم (الأربعاء)، حكماً بقبول دعوى لإلغاء حفل مغني الراب الأمريكي ترافيس سكوت المقرر إقامته يوم 15 أكتوبر القادم أمام الأهرامات في محافظة الجيزة، للمرة الثانية في تاريخ محاولاته للأداء في مصر.
واختصمت الدعوى التي تحمل الرقم 74942 لسنة 79 قضائية، والتي أقامها المحامي المصري عصام رفعت، وزير الثقافة ومحافظ الجيزة ووزير الآثار، وتطالب بوقف الترخيص الممنوح للحفل، معتبرة أنه ينتهك القوانين المنظمة للحفلات والتراث الوطني.

وجاء الحكم بعد حملة واسعة على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي أعادت إحياء الجدل الذي أحاط بالحفل الأول المخطط له في يوليو 2023، والذي أُلغي أيضاً بسبب سحب الترخيص من نقابة المهن الموسيقية لـ«تعارضه مع الهوية الثقافية والقيم المصرية».
وفي الدعوى الجديدة، أكد المحامي رفعت أن الحفل «يخالف الشريعة الإسلامية وعادات المجتمع المصري»، مستنداً إلى سيرة سكوت الذاتية التي تتضمن «آراء ومعتقدات خاصة»، بالإضافة إلى مخاوف أمنية من تكرار كارثة Astroworld، ومزاعم حول «طقوس غريبة» في عروضه مثل الإضاءة الدرامية والمؤثرات البصرية التي وُصفت بـ«الشيطانية» في حملات إعلامية سابقة.
وأكد الحكم أن الترخيص الممنوح لم يحصل على الموافقات الكاملة من الجهات المعنية، بما في ذلك وزارة الآثار التي ترى في إقامة حفل راب عالمي قرب الأهرامات – أحد عجائب الدنيا السبع – إهانة للتراث التاريخي.

وأشار الحكم إلى عدم استيفاء الشروط القانونية المتعلقة بالأمن والسلامة، خصوصا بعد بيع آلاف التذاكر عبر الإنترنت دون ضمانات كافية، في حين لم تصدر الشركة المنظمة، لايف نيشن ميدل إيست، بياناً فورياً، لكن مصادر مقربة أشارت إلى أنها ستعيد أثمان التذاكر كما حدث في 2023، حيث تسبب الإلغاء السابق في خسائر تصل إلى 300 مليون جنيه مصري.

The Administrative Court in Egypt issued a ruling today (Wednesday) accepting a lawsuit to cancel the concert of American rapper Travis Scott, scheduled to take place on October 15 in front of the Pyramids in Giza, marking the second time in his attempts to perform in Egypt.
The lawsuit, numbered 74942 for the year 79 judicial, was filed by Egyptian lawyer Essam Rifaat against the Minister of Culture, the Governor of Giza, and the Minister of Antiquities, and it demands the suspension of the permit granted for the concert, considering it a violation of the laws regulating concerts and national heritage.

The ruling confirmed that the permit granted did not receive full approvals from the relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Antiquities, which views holding a global rap concert near the Pyramids—one of the Seven Wonders of the World—as an insult to historical heritage.

The ruling pointed out the failure to meet legal requirements related to security and safety, especially after thousands of tickets were sold online without sufficient guarantees. While the organizing company, Live Nation Middle East, did not issue an immediate statement, close sources indicated that it would refund ticket prices as happened in 2023, where the previous cancellation caused losses amounting to 300 million Egyptian pounds.
In response to the initial announcement of the concert last July, Scott sparked controversy with his previous statements, denying rumors by saying, "There are no strange rituals at my concerts, just celebrations, and I admire Egyptian culture for choosing the Pyramids to launch my album." Nevertheless, social media campaigns returned to label him as a "devil worshiper" and "Mason," based on conspiracy theories that spread after Astroworld, prompting some Egyptian stars to apologize to him earlier, while others like Naguib Sawiris expressed regret over the loss of "global publicity" for Egypt.
This cancellation is a blow to the entertainment industry in Egypt, which seeks to attract cultural tourism through international concerts, but it reflects the tension between artistic freedom and the preservation of social values under conservative pressures.
