نفى حسن العفوي (والد الشاب حسام حسن، الذي توفي إثر انفجار خلال حفل غنائي للفنان المصري محمد رمضان) حصول العائلة على تعويض مالي من رمضان.
وقال العفوي في تصريحات إعلامية: «لا يمكن أن نقبل العوض في ابني، وأموال الدنيا كلها لا تعوضني عن شعرة في رأسه، من يقبل تعويضاً في ابنه؟ هل ملايين الدنيا تستطيع إعادته لي؟».
وأكد والد حسام أن اللقاء الوحيد الذي جمعه بمحمد رمضان كان داخل المستشفى عقب الحادثة، موضحاً أن رمضان حضر للاطمئنان على المصابين، وقدم واجب العزاء ثم غادر سريعاً دون أي حديث حول التعويض.
كما أشار إلى أن من تواصلوا مع العائلة بعد الحادثة هم زملاء ابنه الذين يعملون معه في شركة تجهيزات الحفلات، التي كان يتعاون معها خلال عطلته الصيفية.
ووقعت الحادثة الخميس الماضي خلال حفل محمد رمضان في منتجع «بورتو مارينا» بالساحل الشمالي، بعد انفجار أسطوانة غاز داخل كواليس التجهيزات، ما أسفر عن وفاة طالب الطب حسام حسن، وإصابة 6 آخرين.
Hassan Al-Afwi (the father of the young man Hossam Hassan, who died as a result of an explosion during a concert by the Egyptian artist Mohamed Ramadan) denied that the family received any financial compensation from Ramadan.
Al-Afwi stated in media remarks: “We cannot accept compensation for my son, and all the money in the world cannot compensate me for a hair on his head. Who would accept compensation for their son? Can the millions of this world bring him back to me?”
Hossam's father confirmed that the only meeting he had with Mohamed Ramadan was in the hospital after the incident, explaining that Ramadan came to check on the injured, offered his condolences, and then left quickly without any discussion about compensation.
He also pointed out that those who reached out to the family after the incident were his son's colleagues who worked with him at the event planning company he was collaborating with during his summer vacation.
The incident occurred last Thursday during Mohamed Ramadan's concert at the "Porto Marina" resort on the North Coast, following the explosion of a gas cylinder backstage, which resulted in the death of medical student Hossam Hassan and injured six others.
