كشف المخرج المصري خالد الحلفاوي، نجل الفنان الراحل نبيل الحلفاوي، إمكانية تقديم السيرة الذاتية لوالده في عمل فني، مؤكداً أنه من الصعب أن يوافق على تجسيد أي ممثل سيرة والده على الشاشة.
وقال خالد الحلفاوي في أحد برامج البودكاست، إنه لا يستطيع الموافقة برؤية أي ممثل يقدم السيرة الذاتية لوالدي الراحل، لافتًا أنه من الممكن كتابة السيرة الذاتية لوالده فقط دون تقديمها.
وتابع الحلفاوي: «عمري ما هشوف ولا هتقبل حد يجسّد شخصية أبويا، مين ممكن يقنعني إنه والدي؟ ده مستحيل بالنسبة لي، ممكن أكتب السيرة الذاتية يومًا ما، لكن العمل هيكون مش من إخراجي».
ورد الحلفاوي على تصنيفه مخرجًا كوميديًّا فقط في الوسط الفني بالفترة الأخيرة، قائلاً: «للأسف عندنا في مصر نظام الإنتاج غريب جدًّا، لو مخرج نجح في نوع واحد، يفضلوا حابسينه فيه».
وتابع الحلفاوي: « أنا اتزنقت في الكوميديا من أول عمل جالي، اللي هو فيلم زنقة ستات، بس أنا مؤمن إن المخرج المفروض ميكونش محصور في نوع واحد، لازم يقدر يعمل كل حاجة».
وفي عام 2024، توفى الفنان نبيل الحلفاوي، عن عمر ناهز 77 عامًا، وذلك بعد تعرضه لوعكة صحية شديدة بسبب مشكلات في الصدر، إذ تدهورت حالته الصحية في أيامه الأخيرة.

Khaled Al-Halafawy said in one of the podcast programs that he cannot agree to see any actor presenting the biography of his late father, pointing out that it is possible to write his father's biography only without presenting it.
Al-Halafawy continued: “I will never see or accept anyone portraying my father's character. Who could convince me that they are my father? That is impossible for me. I might write the biography one day, but the work will not be directed by me.”
Al-Halafawy responded to being classified as a comedy director only in the artistic community lately, saying: “Unfortunately, in Egypt, we have a very strange production system. If a director succeeds in one genre, they tend to keep him trapped in it.”
Al-Halafawy added: “I got stuck in comedy from the first work that came to me, which is the film 'Zanqat Settat,' but I believe that a director should not be confined to one genre; they must be able to do everything.”
In 2024, the artist Nabil Al-Halafawy passed away at the age of 77, following a severe health crisis due to chest problems, as his health deteriorated in his final days.
