أعلن المطرب محمود الليثي وفاة المطرب الشعبي محمد عواد صباح اليوم (الخميس)، وذلك بشكل مفاجئ وصادم لجمهوره وزملائه في الوسط الفني بمصر.
وكتب محمود الليثي خبر الوفاة عبر حسابه الشخصي على موقع التواصل الاجتماعي فيسبوك، قائلا: «إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون. الأخ والزميل محمد عواد فى ذمة الله. الله يرحمك ويغفر لك ويسكنك فسيح جناته يا رب. فضلاً وليس أمراً نسألكم الدعاء»، وتفاعل عدد كبير من محبي الراحل مع خبر وفاته وقاموا بالدعاء له بالرحمة والمغفرة.
وكشفت مصادر مقربة من محمد عواد أن رحيله جاء نتيجة أزمة قلبية مفاجئة ناجمة عن ضعف في عضلة القلب، وهو السبب ذاته الذي أودى بحياة المطرب الشعبي الراحل أحمد عامر أخيراً.
ومن المفترض أن تقام صلاة الجنازة بعد ظهر اليوم (الخميس) من المسجد الكبير بمدينة القنطرة شرق محافظة الإسماعيلية، وسيتم دفن الجثمان في مقابر العائلة.
وكان آخر ظهور لمحمد عواد خلال الأيام الماضية في عزاء المطرب الشعبي أحمد عامر، وظهر وهو في حالة صحية جيدة دون أن يعاني من أي مشكلات صحية أو تبدو عليه علامات المرض.

A large number of the late singer's fans interacted with the news of his death and prayed for him for mercy and forgiveness.
Sources close to Mohamed Awad revealed that his passing was due to a sudden heart crisis resulting from weakness in the heart muscle, which is the same reason that recently claimed the life of the late popular singer Ahmed Amer.
The funeral prayer is scheduled to take place this afternoon (Thursday) from the grand mosque in the city of Qantara East in Ismailia Governorate, and the body will be buried in the family cemetery.
Mohamed Awad's last appearance in recent days was at the funeral of the popular singer Ahmed Amer, where he appeared to be in good health without suffering from any health issues or showing signs of illness.
