The corridors of hospitals seem quiet, but they are filled with the moans of patients, the sounds of machines, and the smell of disinfectants.. Their inhabitants go through harsh moments in a night inhabited only by pain.. Everything seems calm before them except for the ticking of the clock and the noise of their silent thoughts.. They gaze into the corners of abandoned time.. Their souls are filled with whirlwinds of pain in a darkness inhabited only by hidden aches behind their chests in a room of pure white, and a darkness filled with the blackness of night.. The tightness in their chests chokes them with tears.
O you who are weary in your silence, exhausted in your body, drenched in sweat, you who are worn out by illness, struggling to breathe, your face pale, your eyes sunken, spending your nights between moans and sleeplessness, let me ask you: Isn’t illness a sign of God’s love for you? For when God loves a servant, He tests him.. Time may pass slowly for you until the ropes of time nearly choke you, but you must give some time to time.. Trust that the more your pain and suffering intensify, the greater your reward with God.
When you are certain that your illness purifies your faith and cleanses you of your sins, your soul will find peace, for God has chosen you to attain a rank you could not achieve through your deeds. Our noble Messenger, peace be upon him, said: “When a servant has a rank with God that he has not reached through his deeds, God tests him in his body, wealth, or children, and then he remains patient until he reaches the rank that was destined for him by God, the Almighty.”
And when you are certain that healing is in God’s hands (and when I am ill, it is He who heals me); there is no fear as long as you have good thoughts about God and rely on Him.
I know that the bitterness of patience is painful, but its reward is worth enduring your illness (Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account).. Therefore, open the windows of hope, and awaken your spirit with the light of faith, for illness is a message telling you that we need to return to God whenever we stray away.
A flash..
Whenever night falls and heavy burdens weigh upon you, and you have tasted the harshness of nights and your dawn has been prolonged, remember that no matter how long the sun is absent, it will inevitably rise.
