يصادف الثالث والعشرون من سبتمبر اليوم الوطني للمملكة العربية السعودية، ويتزامن هذا التاريخ مع ذكرى استئناف العلاقات الإيرانية – السعودية التي مضى عليها عامان. بيد أن إيران والسعودية تتمتعان بواحدة من أقدم العلاقات في غرب آسيا.
وفي ظل العزيمة الراسخة للبلدين، حققت هذه العلاقات إنجازات فاقت التوقعات في فترة وجيزة، وقطعت شوطًا طويلًا في وقت قصير. وتُعدّ الزيارات الدورية لمسؤولي البلدين، بمن فيهم الرئيس، ودولة نائب الرئيس، ووزراء الخارجية، ووزير الدفاع، وأمين المجلس الأعلى للأمن القومي، والمشاورات الهاتفية بين وزيري خارجية البلدين، دليلًا واضحًا على العزم الراسخ للبلدين على تطوير العلاقات ودفعها قدمًا. واليوم، وبفضل الخطوات الحكيمة للبلدين، يُمثل الطرفان قطبين مهمين في المنطقة، يجمعهما الكثير من القواسم والأواصر المشتركة. لكن إيران والسعودية لن تكتفيا بالعلاقات الثنائية، إذ إنهما تعتبران بلدين هامين في المنطقة، ويسعيان إلى استتباب الأمن والسلم فيها من خلال التنسيق والتعاون فيما بينهما، كما يفكران في تنمية المنطقة واستقرارها. وبصفتي سفيرًا للجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية، أهنئ المملكة العربية السعودية قيادةً وحكومةً وشعبًا، بمناسبة اليوم الوطني السعودي، متمنيًا لها الخير والرقي، ولقادتها التوفيق والسداد، ولشعبها الرخاء والازدهار. وكل عام وأنتم بخير.
September 23rd marks the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, coinciding with the anniversary of the resumption of Iranian-Saudi relations, which has been two years. However, Iran and Saudi Arabia enjoy one of the oldest relationships in West Asia.
In light of the steadfast determination of both countries, these relations have achieved remarkable accomplishments in a short period, making significant progress in a brief time. The regular visits of officials from both countries, including the president, the vice president, foreign ministers, the minister of defense, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, and the phone consultations between the foreign ministers of both countries, are clear evidence of the unwavering commitment of both nations to develop and advance their relations. Today, thanks to the wise steps taken by both countries, they represent two important poles in the region, sharing many commonalities and bonds. However, Iran and Saudi Arabia will not be satisfied with just bilateral relations, as they consider themselves important countries in the region, striving for security and peace through coordination and cooperation with each other, while also thinking about the development and stability of the region. As the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, I congratulate the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia—its leadership, government, and people—on the occasion of Saudi National Day, wishing it goodness and progress, and wishing its leaders success and guidance, and its people prosperity and flourishing.
