• Jeddah this evening tempts me to write a text that contains both the distant dawn and the messages, and it’s okay in the face of this tide to ask the waves to ease my heart.
• I wish to sail this evening with the memories, some of which I left in my village and others that Jeddah took with the promise to return them to me, but "it didn't."
• From where and how should I begin, please remind me! Thus questioned the moon in "Imagine," and through this deeply emotional inquiry, the answer escaped me in a moment of fatigue, and I replied in a hoarse voice, "Oh, master, where are you?"
• I searched in my sorrowful notebooks for a frame that could hold the image and found "The Perfumer of Morals," a lament and a sorrow I wrote on a night of parting.
• A voice from there separated "my sorrow and my fatigue," I heard it and remembered with it Abha, the place and the memories, but it never canceled my "buried sighs," which sometimes comfort me and sometimes renew my "stabs."
• I love to converse with Jeddah through poetry written in her and another written for her; she, Jeddah, is a smiling city that embraces everything, loves joy, and if a visitor is harsh with her, she bids them farewell with a bouquet of flowers.
• Oh night, my friend, I passed through all the contradictions, but in every case, she is Jeddah, which inhabited us before we inhabited her, and here is some of what has been said about her:
• A bride of the sea adorned with beauty
She spent the night with eyelids wide awake and sleepless
How many a lover has been enraptured by her love
Left astonished by her and drifted away
• And because sorrow was a common denominator in our night, oh Jeddah, I went to Abadi and echoed with him; the journey was sad, and Abadi is the "Ambassador of Sorrow."
• Finally: That moment is painful when a tear falls while you are silent from the intensity of the oppression.
