I can almost understand if the defense from some media affiliated with Al-Nassr Club, and some accounts on the "X" platform, for the player Musab Al-Juwair, who was excluded from the national team due to a disciplinary penalty, is based on a relationship he has with Al-Nassr as a player, standing by their club more than caring for the player himself, similar to what happens with some media from other clubs.
-I can also almost understand if their defense comes from the perspective that there is a historical relationship between Al-Nassr and Al-Qadisiyah, solidified by one of the honorary members of Al-Nassr, but Al-Qadisiyah is no longer what it used to be; it has become owned by Aramco, and that relationship no longer exists in a way that would make them take a stance based on the saying: "For the sake of a kind eye, a city is honored."
-Similarly, I can almost understand if the national team coach did not include him in the squad he selected for participation in the Gulf Cup 27, and their doubts turned towards the executive director of the national team, Fahd Al-Mufrej, given that he is a player and an administrator from Al-Hilal, and thus I would not be surprised, nor would others, by all this "zeal," according to a media and fan reality that cannot be overlooked; it exists and is not limited to the media of a specific club, but there are many similar cases both locally and internationally.
-But... oh, the "but"! When I remember that these stances were not present when the late former president Prince Abdulrahman bin Saud made a decision against Fahd Al-Harifi and other players, with penalties related to indiscipline or for any other reason, and also when Prince Faisal bin Turki, the former president of Al-Nassr, issued a disciplinary decision excluding more than one foreign player who rebelled against the team in an attempt to blackmail the club before a match in the Al-Nassr Cup, and there are many examples, which I may need to recount later.
-In fact, I do not understand at all how this media and others dare to defend a player who did not respect the system, did not adhere to the regulations he was informed of and signed, and was warned and sat with more than once, hoping he would return to his senses, and appreciate that he is on a national mission, and that he is an important player heavily relied upon by the coach in planning his tactics, and he should be the first to be "disciplined" in applying the system, and to be a good role model for his teammates, especially after he has gained stardom and significant status in his club Al-Qadisiyah and in the national team.
-Retrieving the past and building on old cases, or saying that a football administrator is a player affiliated with a certain club, is a mindset that should be discarded and not revisited with a phase I hope will be different, especially when the national team is on a national mission. The player made a mistake, and this is not the first time; he previously committed an infraction when he was a player in one of the youth teams, which means that the repetition of such behavior requires a serious and firm stance and review, not looking for justifications for him.
-From my perspective, any journalist, athlete, or fan, regardless of their football inclinations, who defends an undisciplined player, whether with his club or while representing his national team, should reconsider themselves and rethink a behavior that leans towards "partisanship," especially when it comes at an inappropriate time and relates to a clear disciplinary case that "cannot be patched up"; it is a grave mistake to find someone defending such behaviors. This is absurd!
-How many players have not completed their football journey, whether with the clubs they played for or with the national team, and ended prematurely due to the "spoiling" they experienced or the arrogance that afflicted them. Where are they now? They have become a thing of the past.
-I do not want to mention the names of those stars who shone with their clubs and the national team, only to find someone "patting" them on the back or defending their mistakes; what was the result? Their fate was to disappear, and time punished them.
-I demand that there be strict decisions against any careless or undisciplined player, after being warned multiple times and repeating such behaviors, and that it should not be limited to deductions from their salary with their club or punishing them financially, but that the penalty should extend to a suspension for a full season, or even for life, depending on the nature and severity of the violation, in accordance with the applicable regulations and laws.
-A final whisper
If the disciplinary violation is related to the national team, there should be no leniency, no excuses, and no exceptions, regardless of the player's value or stardom. If we want to preserve them, let us be strict with them today rather than lose them tomorrow; let them remember one day that you were the reason for their guidance and return to their senses, and to the world of stardom, fame, and money, rather than remembering that you were the reason for their tragic end.
