Life, in all its details, is beautiful, and we can live it and enjoy its beauty at different stages of our lives as long as we adapt to its circumstances. However, each stage has its own conditions and requirements, and a person cannot possess everything at all times in their life.
In the teenage stage, you may have time and energy, but you lack money.
In the working stage, you may have money and energy, but time becomes scarce and precious.
As for the aging stage, you may have money and time, but energy and health will not return as they once were.
This is God's way with His creation; when He grants you something, He may take away another, so that life remains based on balance, and we realize the value of the blessings we have before we lose them.
Here, the question arises: what is more important in this life... time, money, or health?
It is a delicate equation; both blessings are important and valuable, but health remains at the forefront of everything because it cannot be valued in monetary terms. Money may come and go, and a person may lose it and then regain it, but health, if it slips away, is difficult to recover.
Nevertheless, you find some who neglect their health and well-being, spending years of their lives rushing to accumulate money, only to leave it behind for others to enjoy. Here lies the challenge: how do we balance work and life? And how do we enjoy what we have before life passes us by?
One of my friends retired after many years of giving, but he found himself after retirement as if his new job had become fulfilling all the family’s needs and dealing with daily troubles to meet household requests.
One day, he bitterly asked me: What should I do after retirement?
I told him: Do not wrong yourself; your self has rights over you. It is time for you to rest and give yourself the care and attention you deserve. You have fulfilled your mission and worked hard for years, and now it is time for those around you to appreciate what you have given, and for each individual to bear their responsibilities, without you being the one burdened with every little thing.
Do not overload yourself beyond your capacity, and do not compete with the troubles of life at a stage when you need peace the most. And do not pay too much attention to what people say about how you live or your choices; pleasing people is an unattainable goal, and no one will live your life on your behalf, nor will they grant you happiness unless you feel it within yourself. Be careful not to be a driver who lets time steal away from you while you are driving your vehicle to finish errands that are not within your expertise at the end of your journey.
Live your life in a way that grants you peace of mind, enjoy what remains of your life, and be more reconciled with yourself; for time does not turn back, what has passed has become memories, and what remains is your true opportunity for life.
Wisdoms and Lessons
White does not mean beauty, nor does black mean ugliness; the shroud is white and frightening, and the black garment is a Kaaba and awe-inspiring. A person is defined by their morals, not by their appearance.
If manhood were measured by the loudness of one's voice, the donkey would be the master of men! And if femininity were about exposure and nudity, then the most stripped beings would be the most feminine! Before you raise your eyes and ask God for what you have lost, lower them and thank Him for what is in your hands.
For life is not about how much we possess, but about our ability to enjoy the blessings that surround us, and to recognize their value before they become mere memories.
