التاريخ أحداث سردية، سواء كانت شفوية أو مكتوبة، والشفوي يتحوّل إلى مكتوب ذات يوم، فكيف تتولّد السردية التاريخية المكتوبة؟ وقبل هذا، ليس هناك تاريخ مكتوب من غير سياج أمني للكاتب، حتى المناقض لتلك السردية بحاجة إلى أمن لكي يكتب ما ينقض التاريخ السيار بين الناس.
ولكل أمة سردية خاصة بها، يتم ترسيخها لدى الأجيال المتتابعة، وهناك سرديات تُمحى بفعل الزمن، وتغيّر سلطاتها، إلا أن هناك سرديات تعبر الزمن بزوائد أو نواقص أو مغلطات، يستوجب تصويب كل زائد أو ناقص، وإيضاح مسار المثبت، والسردية عبر التاريخ الأزلي نحن متواجدون به، كون مكة أول بيت وضع للناس، ويصبح تجلية التاريخ من مهامنا الوطنية، وهي مهمة جديرة بأن تنهض بها كل المؤسسات المعنية بالجانب الثقافي والمعرفي، وأعتقد أن دارة الملك عبدالعزيز هي في لبّ هذه المهمة.
فالسردية التاريخية بحاجة للاهتمام ومسايرة الأزمان بالتصحيح وبث المعلومة الصحيحة، ولا تقتصر المهمة على التصحيح، بل أصعب منها بثّ الصحيح إلى بقية العالم، من خلال مؤسساتها ومثقفيها واستخدام كل وسيلة تواصل مع العالم.. سأذكر مثالاً عن السردية التاريخية التي تجتمع عليها الديانات الثلاث، وهي معركة (هرمجدون)، كإشارة إلى أنها علامة من العلامات الكبرى ليوم القيامة. سردية هذه المعركة مثبتة في عقول أناس هذا الزمن، خاصة رجال الديانات الثلاث. ويطيب للبعض استرجاعها حدثاً تاريخياً سيتحقق ذات يوم، وكل منهم لديه سردية مغايرة في استقبالها، وتتحوّل هذه الفكرة إلى أجندات بعيدة المدى يجب العمل على تنفيذ خطواتها، نعم، هي سردية تاريخيّة، وأجزم أن كل سردية يجعل لها أصحابها خاصيّة، والبعض يورّث تلك الحكايات.
وكثير مما نعيشه هذه الأيام من حروب، ما هي إلا مقدمة للأيام القادمة (حتى ولو كانت الحرب الدينية العظيمة مؤجلة إلى زمن غائب)، ويقيناً أحمله بأننا مستهدفون، سواء من خلال السردية التاريخية القديمة أو من خلال السردية المحرّضة حديثاً، والالتصاق بهذه السرديات ونقضها بما هو صائب يحفظ أمننا ويحقق الاستقرار والنمو.
أحياناً، يكون التاريخ له بواعث لا تخطر على البال.. ربما جئت لكم بنقطة خلاف بين الأمم يستوجب بيانها والمسايرة معها حفاظاً على الأمن وتصويب التاريخ.
History is a narrative of events, whether oral or written, and the oral eventually transforms into written form one day. So, how does the written historical narrative come into being? Before this, there is no written history without a security fence for the writer; even the opposer of that narrative needs security to write what contradicts the prevailing history among people.
Every nation has its own narrative, which is instilled in successive generations. Some narratives are erased by the passage of time and the changing of their authorities, yet there are narratives that transcend time with additions, omissions, or distortions, necessitating the correction of every addition or omission, and clarifying the established path. The narrative throughout eternal history is where we exist, as Mecca is the first house established for people, and the manifestation of history becomes one of our national duties, a task worthy of being undertaken by all institutions concerned with cultural and intellectual aspects. I believe that the King Abdulaziz Foundation is at the heart of this mission.
The historical narrative needs attention and to keep pace with the times through correction and dissemination of accurate information. The task is not limited to correction; it is even more challenging to spread the truth to the rest of the world through its institutions and intellectuals, using every means of communication with the world. I will mention an example of the historical narrative that is common among the three religions, which is the Battle of (Armageddon), as a reference to it being one of the major signs of the Day of Judgment. The narrative of this battle is firmly established in the minds of people in this era, especially among the men of the three religions. Some take pleasure in recalling it as a historical event that will one day come to pass, each with a differing narrative in how they perceive it, and this idea transforms into long-term agendas that must be worked on to implement their steps. Yes, it is a historical narrative, and I assert that every narrative gives its owners a unique characteristic, and some pass down those tales.
Much of what we are experiencing these days in terms of wars is merely a prelude to the days to come (even if the great religious war is postponed to a distant time). I carry a certainty that we are targeted, whether through the old historical narrative or through the newly incited narrative, and adhering to these narratives and refuting them with what is correct preserves our security and achieves stability and growth.
Sometimes, history has motives that one would not expect. Perhaps I have brought you a point of contention between nations that requires clarification and alignment with it to preserve security and correct history.
