Every musician has a psychological depth that only their own self shares in that depth. However, this soul has its manifestations, and those manifestations overflow onto others with what they generously offer from their emotions.

Art has its icons in all fields of arts (such as writers, composers, painters, etc.), and these icons are the shimmering light that flows through the ages, as their lives transform into illuminations that shine on the paths of public life, while their lights continue to resonate through time.

Many of us follow the glow of those illuminations by digging and searching for the stories and events of those who have colored our lives with various arts..

In our geographic surroundings, there are dozens of national symbols that have colored our lives with art and creativity, and perhaps we have fallen short by not giving those symbols what equals their efforts in dedicating their lives for our happiness; perhaps this has happened or is still happening until now.

The artist does not belong solely to themselves; this is a truth we share with every creator, whether they are a composer, singer, or writer. The world is what shares with us the emotions of creators in creativity and life, and from this standpoint, it is the least we can do to praise the achievements of our national symbols. Now, as I write, the musician Talal comes to mind. In fact, the Saudi artistic scene has known musician Talal since the early 1980s, and he has more than 800 songs to his credit. His melodies have overflowed and permeated the hearts of singers who have delighted us with the sung words and the melodies of musician Talal. His collaboration and contributions were not limited to local singers, even though some songs by Mohammed Abdu and Talal Madah have settled in our souls without us knowing they were composed by musician Talal. As time has progressed, the level of awareness has increased, and the listener's skill in asking and searching for the lyricist and composer has sharpened. With this awareness, we will give musician Talal all the appreciation that we neglected in a time when we did not care to know the songwriter and composer of the song. His music transcended local geography, and dozens of melodious voices have sung for him. If I were to list some of those singers who sang for musician Talal, I would start with the peaks: Talal Madah, Mohammed Abdu, Warda Al-Jazairia, Najat Al-Saghira, Majida El Roumi, Hani Shakir, Kadim Al Sahir, Saber Al Robai, Amal Maher, and Angham. Internationally, he composed for Cheb Khaled and Saad Lamjarred, and these voices enjoyed lyrics from prominent songwriters at the local and Arab levels, as he composed words for Badr bin Abdul Mohsen, Abdullah Al Faisal, Khalid Al Faisal, Nizar Qabbani, Talal Haydar, Hussein Al Sayyed, Mamoun Al Shennawy, Abdul Rahman Al Abnoudi, and Nizar Francis.

Musician Talal has held the sweetest singing voices and the most beautiful songwriters..

And because I always champion storytelling, I was struck with panic at the sheer number of singing and writing stars gathered under the melodies of one musician. I wondered: how many stories have occurred between musician Talal and them? I am certain that there is a story for every song that reached the audience, and how many traces will emerge from those stories? Certainly, they are a treasure of great stories and events that will become a narrative collection for all those songs.

I still seek those stories, perhaps I will be able to write them one day.
