I read the annual report of the Quality of Life Program 2024 "A High Life for Every Person," which spanned over a hundred pages filled with information and achievements that were once dreams and have now become reality. However, I paused at the page of "macroeconomic" figures, which is one of the pages of achievement that the Kingdom has written with confident steps towards the future, as part of the Vision 2030 journey; where ambition blended with planning, and willpower with results.
In its annual report, the program revealed qualitative leaps achieved before the targeted deadline at the end of 2024, reflecting the depth of the vision and the efficiency of implementation. Non-oil revenues, for example, exceeded expectations, reaching 17.8 billion riyals, achieving 199% of the target, clearly indicating the maturity of new economic policies and the success of diversification pathways. As for non-governmental investment, it reached 21.6 billion riyals, surpassing the baseline, while the contribution to the GDP exceeded 74.5 billion riyals, achieving 102% of the goal, which enhances the base of sustainable growth and reduces reliance on oil as the sole source of income.
In a human dimension that does not overlook the essence of the vision, the program contributed to creating and generating more than 368,000 jobs, in a step that confirms the Kingdom's commitment to building promising opportunities for its sons and daughters. The percentage of local content also rose to 39%, exceeding the target by
108%, reflecting support for the national industry and enabling it to compete and innovate.
With these figures in the report, I see that after 2030, a new horizon will be formed for us; these figures are not just indicators, but rather outlines of a reality being shaped for the post-2030 era, a reality led by a diversified economy, driven by national human forces, fueled by smart investment, and embraced by a quality community in its services and quality. What is built today will be the launching pad for a prosperous tomorrow, where future generations will enjoy a more affluent life, broader opportunities, and an environment that stimulates innovation and production, elevating the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the ranks of developed countries "and it is already there," not just by vision, but by an achievement that is celebrated, and indicators that speak of the unique accomplishments that a human life deserves in a homeland like Saudi Arabia.
In conclusion, in the report "A High Life for Every Person," the numbers do not stop at the limits of statistics, but rather transform into living testimonies of a homeland crafting its future with a conscious mind and a spirit believing in transformation. Every achieved indicator is a pulse of the Vision 2030 heartbeat, and every achievement ahead of its time is a promise fulfilled, and an ambition translated into reality; where quality of life is not just a goal, but a way of life upon which nations are built and generations are made happy.
