The efforts of the National Center for the Prevention of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases and their Control, "Waqea," were remarkable during this year's Hajj season, as they added a human touch and kindness to the efforts of all participating entities in serving the guests of Allah!

The center is part of the healthcare and prevention system that ensured a safe and healthy season for millions of pilgrims. In addition to the scale of efforts and numbers, and the intensity of regulatory and inspection campaigns within its responsibilities, what stands out in the performance of "Waqea" is the preventive methodology it employs, which begins with veterinary inspections at the entry points and does not end with spraying disease vectors or scouting for locusts and grasshoppers in the hectares surrounding the holy sites. It operates on parallel paths and integrated practical procedures within the preventive health system, embodying the concept of "One Health"!

Perhaps the "Waqea Let Us Reassure" campaign embodied a conscious communication policy aimed at raising health awareness among citizens, residents, and pilgrims, and enhancing people's relationship with the concept of prevention, through protecting sacrificial animals, educating the community, and strengthening its responsibilities in biosecurity and health!

Within the concept of prevention, which is reinforced by the transformations of the vision, the health and preventive system works to assess risks and anticipate their possibilities. During the Hajj season, "Waqea" inspected more than one million two hundred thousand heads of livestock, cleared over one million two hundred thousand heads at seven entry points, and conducted thousands of regulatory and awareness rounds, which enhances the impact and contributes to the collective efforts for a successful Hajj season!

In short, prevention is not just better than cure; it is the foundation of health sustainability and the key to community reassurance!
