- My story with basketball, with all its beautiful details, I will try as much as possible to summarize it in these lines, even though it requires several editions to document it, which has extended for nearly 40 years as a referee, an administrator for youth and junior teams, and a media coordinator for the Saudi Basketball Federation.
- It was certainly a long, enjoyable, and exhausting experience at the same time. I covered a large number of local and international tournaments, the most beautiful of which were when the Saudi teams won international championships, whether Gulf, Arab, or continental. I still have a lot of medals and participation certificates, and I remember from time to time what they gave me and what I gave them. They gave me a lot and took a lot.
- The prestigious "Okaz" newspaper played a significant role in covering the game, whether for teams or clubs, and it has a large archive of the game. Words of thanks and appreciation will not do justice to this esteemed newspaper and my colleagues at Okaz, who were a great help and supporters in much of what I wrote, granting me good spaces to write about it.
- I was honored to receive the Prince Ahmed bin Salman Award, may God have mercy on him, during the presidency of Prince Talal bin Badr of the Saudi Basketball Federation, and the game witnessed a significant leap during that period.
- Abdulrahman Al-Mas'ad, the former president of the basketball federation, I cannot do justice to him; he was a supporter and motivator for everyone, dedicating much of his time and effort to the game, and he has a beautiful mark on the game. He supported me greatly in my journey, and I will not forget many of his advice, as he gave me the opportunity to work administratively for the youth teams and as a media coordinator for the Saudi Federation and basketball teams.
- Dr. Ghassan Tashkandi, the current president of the federation, who has continued the path of work, building, and giving in the Saudi Basketball Federation, has contributed a lot to the game, which has thrived internationally and continentally. He is certainly the man of the current phase, and I will not forget his personal support for me.
- There is a beautiful story of loyalty for everyone who has lived with this game, with the ongoing honors and meetings of the game's sons who affirm their connection and passion for the game, led by my colleague Waheeb Khalil, a media figure who has contributed a lot to the game and continues to do so. The last to be honored were my colleagues (Mushabbab Matar and Mansour Al-Ahmari), former board members of the federation and basketball referees, in the presence of a selection of basketball affiliates in the city of Jeddah. This loyalty and appreciation is not strange to the sons of the game. Thank you from the heart to everyone who worked and contributed to the development of this game, which has received great attention from the Ministry of Sports, and God willing, there is a bright future for this game under the leadership of Dr. Ghassan Tashkandi.
