Meghan Markle continues to expand her presence in the media world, this time through a program dedicated to young chefs, as the Duchess of Sussex prepares to join the upcoming season of "Junior MasterChef Australia," in a move that brings her back to the Australian screen and highlights her interest in cooking and lifestyle once again.
The Australian network "Network 10" announced Meghan's participation in the show, which is set to air in 2027, as a special guest co-hosting alongside Poh Ling Yeow, in a new experience following her previous appearance on the adult version of "MasterChef Australia."
The Duchess's participation in the program last year drew attention, as the episode recorded the highest viewership for the show on a Sunday since 2023, according to data from "Paramount Australia and New Zealand."
Meghan expressed her excitement for this experience, noting that cooking is a part of her family life, and said in a statement: "I love cooking with my kids, so seeing what these young stars create in the kitchen will be so much fun."
The network did not disclose the financial compensation for her upcoming participation, while reports indicated that she did not receive payment for her previous appearance on the show.
From the Kitchen to Media Projects
This new participation comes after a visit Meghan made with her husband Prince Harry to Australia last April, which lasted four days and included filming her previous television appearance.
Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020 and moving to California, the couple has focused on building independent paths in media, production, and business ventures, with Meghan dedicating part of her activities to cooking and lifestyle.
Among her notable experiences in this field is the show "With Love, Meghan" on Netflix, which combined recipes and ideas related to hospitality and daily life, running for two seasons, along with a special Christmas episode, but it did not achieve the expected popular success, according to media reports.
She also launched her brand "As Ever," specializing in food products and lifestyle, before ending her partnership with Netflix last March.
With her anticipated participation in "Junior MasterChef Australia," Meghan returns to television through a program that combines cooking and competition, leveraging her publicly declared interest in this field, while continuing to diversify her media and business activities outside the royal life.
