ومع غياب الشمس، ارتفعت الحصيلة إلى ثلاثة قتلى وعدد من الجرحى، وباتت بعض أحياء القضاء تعيش حالة من الفراغ الأمني المؤقت بسبب شدة كثافة النيران وتبادل الإطلاق، مما وضع الأجهزة الأمنية أمام تحدٍ معقد للسيطرة على الموقف وإعادة فرض الهيبة.

ولم تكن ميسان وحدها تحت القلق، ففي الوقت ذاته شهدت محافظة صلاح الدين خرقاً أمنياً آخر بإطلاق نار غامض في الحي العسكري بقضاء الدجيل، أسفر عن إصابة مدني ونقله للمستشفى، بينما فتحت السلطات تحقيقاً موسعاً لفهم كنه الحادثة وما إذا كانت عائدة إلى تصفية حسابات شخصية.
