OpenAI announced the launch of "ChatGPT for Financial Services," a specialized version targeting professionals in the financial sector, primarily investment bankers and equity analysts, in a move that expands the presence of artificial intelligence within one of the most data-sensitive, accuracy-driven, and compliance-focused industries.
The service was developed in collaboration with "Morgan Stanley" and "Evercore" as design partners, relying on the GPT-6 Astra model, and integrates financial data from providers including LSEG, PitchBook, and Daloopa. It allows users to conduct research, build financial models, and prepare client materials and investment proposals using the same institutional templates.
The platform includes customized controls for the financial sector, encompassing permission management, encryption, and the availability of logs that can be used in audit and compliance procedures, along with linking to external data subscriptions such as FactSet and S&P Global.
The launch reveals a shift in competition in artificial intelligence from general tools to specialized solutions directly related to professional work environments, with plans to later expand the service to broader financial areas.
