أصدر المجلس الأعلى لتنظيم الإعلام في مصر قراراً بمنع الإعلامي الرياضي كريم حسن شحاتة، مقدم برنامج «كورة كل يوم» على قناة «الحياة»، من الظهور عبر جميع الوسائل الإعلامية لمدة شهر، على خلفية حلقة بثت في 29 أغسطس الماضي.
وقال المجلس، في بيان، إن القرار جاء بعد موافقته على توصية لجنة الشكاوى، برئاسة الإعلامي عصام الأمير وكيل المجلس، بشأن الحلقة محل المخالفة، مشيراً إلى أن العقوبة تشمل جميع الوسائل الإعلامية الخاضعة لأحكام قانون تنظيم الصحافة والإعلام رقم 180 لسنة 2018.
وأوضح أن قرار المنع يبدأ من تاريخ بث الحلقة محل المخالفة، ويُلزم الوسائل الإعلامية المشمولة بالقانون بعدم إتاحة الظهور الإعلامي لكريم حسن شحاتة طوال مدة العقوبة.
وأشار المجلس إلى أن القرار استند إلى تقرير الإدارة العامة للرصد بالمجلس الأعلى لتنظيم الإعلام، إلى جانب ما دار خلال جلسة الاستماع التي عقدتها لجنة الشكاوى، بحضور الممثل القانوني لقناة «الحياة».
ويأتي القرار في إطار الصلاحيات التنظيمية للمجلس الأعلى لتنظيم الإعلام في متابعة المحتوى الإعلامي ورصد المخالفات، والنظر في الشكاوى المتعلقة بالمواد التي تبثها الوسائل الإعلامية الخاضعة للقانون، واتخاذ الإجراءات المقررة بحق المخالفات التي يثبتها المجلس.
ويُعد منع الظهور الإعلامي أحد الإجراءات التي يمكن أن يتخذها المجلس في إطار اختصاصاته التنظيمية، بما يشمل إلزام الوسائل الإعلامية بتنفيذ القرار خلال المدة المحددة.
ولم يتضمن البيان الصادر عن المجلس تفاصيل محددة بشأن طبيعة المخالفة التي تضمنتها الحلقة محل القرار، مكتفياً بالإشارة إلى تقرير الرصد وجلسة الاستماع التي سبقت اعتماد التوصية.
The Supreme Council for Media Regulation in Egypt has issued a decision to ban sports journalist Karim Hassan Shahat, host of the program "Kora Kol Yom" on "Al-Hayat" channel, from appearing across all media outlets for a month, following an episode that aired on August 29.
The council stated in a statement that the decision came after its approval of the recommendation from the Complaints Committee, chaired by journalist Essam El Amir, the council's deputy, regarding the episode in question, noting that the penalty applies to all media outlets subject to the provisions of the Press and Media Regulation Law No. 180 of 2018.
It clarified that the ban takes effect from the date of the airing of the episode in question, and obliges the media outlets covered by the law to refrain from allowing Karim Hassan Shahat to appear in the media throughout the duration of the penalty.
The council pointed out that the decision was based on a report from the General Administration for Monitoring at the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, in addition to what transpired during the hearing session held by the Complaints Committee, in the presence of the legal representative of "Al-Hayat" channel.
This decision comes within the regulatory powers of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation to monitor media content, track violations, consider complaints related to the materials broadcast by media outlets subject to the law, and take the necessary actions against violations confirmed by the council.
The ban on media appearances is one of the measures that the council can take within its regulatory competencies, including obliging media outlets to implement the decision within the specified period.
The statement issued by the council did not include specific details regarding the nature of the violation contained in the episode in question, merely referring to the monitoring report and the hearing session that preceded the adoption of the recommendation.
