تحولت قصة الشاب السوري وسيم، المصاب بإعاقة عصبية، من موجة تنمر إلكتروني إلى حالة تضامن واسعة أعادت تسليط الضوء على خطورة السلوكيات العدوانية عبر المنصات الرقمية، وأبرزت قدرة المجتمع على تحويل الألم إلى موقف جامع.
وتعود بداية الحادثة إلى صورة نشرها وسيم على حسابه الشخصي خلال زيارة علاجية إلى دمشق، حيث التقط صورة أمام نصب (السيف الدمشقي) في ساحة الأمويين. وبعد دقائق من نشرها، انهالت تعليقات ساخرة استهدفت مظهره وطريقة وقوفه، ما أثار استياءً عامًا بين مستخدمي مواقع التواصل.
ومع اتساع التفاعل، تحولت السخرية إلى حملة دعم واسعة، خصوصًا بعد انتشار مقطع يظهر فيه وسيم يرد على المتنمرين بعبارة: «حسبي الله ونعم الوكيل». وتدخلت جهات رسمية لاحقًا لتكريمه، في خطوة اعتبرها كثيرون رسالة واضحة ضد التنمُّر.
وفي مشهد لافت، عرضت المؤسسة العربية للإعلان صورة وسيم على شاشة ضخمة في ساحة الأمويين مرفقة بعبارة: «ابن الحسكة نورت الشام»، بينما كرّمته السلطات المحلية في رأس العين داخل مبنى البلدية.
ويرى ناشطون أن هذه الاستجابة الشعبية والرسمية تتجاوز الحادثة الفردية، إذ تعكس رغبة السوريين في تعزيز قيم الاحتواء بعد سنوات من الانقسام والتهجير، وتؤكد ضرورة مواجهة التنمر الرقمي الذي يترك آثارًا نفسية عميقة على ضحاياه.
وكتب مغردون رسائل دعم للشاب، بينها تعليق عبد الملك المحمد الذي قال: «ابتسامته جميلة وبريئة، ليتنا نمتلك مثل ابتسامته الرائعة»، فيما دوّن يوسف: «المفروض اليوم بعد خروج سوريا الجديدة إلى بر الأمان أن يكون التواضع ديدنهم عند النصر وأن يتراحموا بينهم».

The incident began with a photo that Waseem posted on his personal account during a therapeutic visit to Damascus, where he took a picture in front of the (Damascus Sword) monument in Al-Muhajirin Square. Just minutes after posting it, mocking comments targeting his appearance and stance flooded in, causing widespread discontent among social media users.
As the interaction grew, the mockery turned into a broad support campaign, especially after a clip circulated showing Waseem responding to the bullies with the phrase: "God is sufficient for me, and He is the best disposer of affairs." Official entities later intervened to honor him, a step that many considered a clear message against bullying.
In a striking scene, the Arab Advertising Foundation displayed Waseem's image on a massive screen in Al-Muhajirin Square accompanied by the phrase: "The son of Hasakah has illuminated Sham," while local authorities honored him in Ras al-Ain inside the municipality building.
Activists believe that this popular and official response goes beyond the individual incident, reflecting the desire of Syrians to promote values of inclusion after years of division and displacement, and emphasizing the necessity of confronting digital bullying that leaves deep psychological scars on its victims.
Twitter users wrote supportive messages for the young man, including a comment from Abdul Malik Al-Mohammad who said: "His smile is beautiful and innocent; I wish we could have a smile like his wonderful one," while Youssef noted: "Today, after the new Syria has reached safety, humility should be their hallmark in victory, and they should show compassion towards one another."
