قررت النيابة العامة في مصر حجز رئيس مجلس إدارة الشركة المؤجرة لكافيهات منطقة المقطم، باهي سليمان، لمدة 24 ساعة على ذمة التحريات، في واقعة اتهامه بممارسة أعمال البلطجة ضد مستأجري الكافيهات ومحاولة قطع التيار الكهربائي عنهم للضغط عليهم لرفع القيمة الإيجارية.
بلطجة وتلويح بالعنف
أمرت جهات التحقيق بضبط وإحضار باهي سليمان، رئيس مجلس إدارة الشركة، لاتهامه بالاستعانة بـ«إسماعيل دولار» لممارسة أعمال البلطجة ضد المستأجرين، قبل أن تتمكن الأجهزة الأمنية من ضبطه. وكشفت تحقيقات النيابة في واقعة اتهام إسماعيل دولار وآخرين بممارسة أعمال البلطجة والتلويح بالعنف ضد مستأجري كافيهات المقطم ومحاولة قطع التيار الكهربائي عنهم، عن أقوال المتهمين في الواقعة.
استعراض قوة
وأنكر إسماعيل دولار أمام جهات التحقيق الاتهامات المنسوبة إليه في القضية المتهم فيها وآخرون باستعراض القوة والتلويح بالعنف والتهديد داخل أحد المجمعات التجارية. ونفى إسماعيل دولار، خلال التحقيقات، استعانة الشركة المؤجرة للكافيهات به لقطع التيار الكهربائي عن الكافيهات للضغط على المستأجرين لرفع القيمة الإيجارية. وتابع المتهم أنه حضر إلى المجمع التجاري بمفرده للتنسيق مع الشركة المؤجرة بشأن الاستعانة بأفراد أمن للمكان من خلاله، مشيرًا إلى أنه إذا كان يريد استعراض القوة، لحضر برفقة أفراد شركته.
The Public Prosecution in Egypt has decided to detain the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company renting out cafes in the Mokattam area, Bahy Suleiman, for 24 hours pending investigations, in a case where he is accused of practicing thuggery against the tenants of the cafes and attempting to cut off their electricity supply to pressure them into raising the rental value.
Thuggery and Threats of Violence
The investigative authorities ordered the arrest of Bahy Suleiman, the Chairman of the company, for allegedly enlisting "Ismail Dollar" to practice thuggery against the tenants, before security forces managed to apprehend him. The prosecution's investigations into the case accusing Ismail Dollar and others of practicing thuggery and threatening violence against the tenants of the Mokattam cafes and attempting to cut off their electricity supply revealed the statements of the accused in the incident.
Display of Power
Ismail Dollar denied before the investigative authorities the charges against him in the case where he and others are accused of displaying power and threatening violence inside one of the commercial complexes. During the investigations, Ismail Dollar denied that the company renting the cafes had enlisted him to cut off the electricity supply to the cafes to pressure the tenants into raising the rental value. The accused added that he came to the commercial complex alone to coordinate with the renting company regarding the hiring of security personnel for the place through him, indicating that if he wanted to display power, he would have come accompanied by members of his company.
