في حادثة غير مسبوقة روعت ولاية كولورادو الأمريكية، عاش قاطنو أحد المنازل دقائق حابسة للأنفاس، بعدما تحول اقتحام دب مفترس إلى كارثة مزدوجة انتهت باشتعال النيران داخل البيت وسقوط الجاني بالرصاص.
بدأت القصة في منطقة «ماونت كريستد بوت»، حيث اخترق الدب الضخم الباب الخارجي وحطم الواجهة الزجاجية ليدخل المسكن. ولم يكتفِ بتدمير الأثاث والستائر في صالة المعيشة، بل توجه مباشرة إلى المطبخ وحطم الثلاجة ونثر القمامة في المكان، قبل أن يقدم على تصرف عشوائي فجّر الكارثة، إذ حطم رفاً خشبياً لتجفيف الأطباق ليسقط مباشرة فوق موقد كهربائي قيد التشغيل، مما أدى لاندلاع حريق خاطف وتصاعد الدخان الكثيف.
ومع انتشار ألسنة اللهب، حاصر الدب المحتجزين داخل غرفة نومهم محاولاً كسر الباب عليهم، ليطلب السكان النجدة في حالة رعب هستيري. وفور وصول الشرطة ومحاصرة المكان وسط الحريق والدخان، وجد الضباط الدب يحاول الخروج نحوهم من النافذة بسلوك عدواني شديد، مما اضطرهم لإطلاق النار عليه وقتله فوراً للسيطرة على الحريق وإنقاذ العائلة من موت محقق.
In an unprecedented incident that terrified the state of Colorado, residents of a house experienced a few breathless minutes after a bear attack turned into a double disaster, ending with a fire igniting inside the home and the assailant being shot.
The story began in the "Mount Crested Butte" area, where the massive bear broke through the front door and smashed the glass facade to enter the dwelling. Not content with destroying the furniture and curtains in the living room, it headed straight for the kitchen, smashed the refrigerator, and scattered garbage around the place, before taking a random action that triggered the disaster by knocking over a wooden dish drying rack that fell directly onto a running electric stove, causing a rapid fire to break out and thick smoke to rise.
As the flames spread, the bear trapped the residents inside their bedroom, trying to break the door down, prompting the terrified inhabitants to call for help in a state of hysterical panic. Upon the arrival of the police and surrounding the area amidst the fire and smoke, the officers found the bear attempting to escape towards them through the window with extremely aggressive behavior, which forced them to shoot it and kill it immediately to control the fire and save the family from certain death.
