في لحظات حابسة للأنفاس، تحولت مهمة روتينية لتطبيق القانون في قلب العاصمة العراقية إلى مشهد من مشاهد الأفلام الدامية، حيث لفت الصدمة أهالي منطقة الدورة ببغداد بسبب دوي رصاص حي غادر استهدف القوات الأمنية، مخلفاً فاجعة هزت المؤسسة العسكرية.
الشرارة اندلعت عندما وصلت مفارز شرطة الأمانة والبلدية إلى محيط حي دجلة لرفع المخالفات والتجاوزات، لكن مسرح الجريمة كان بانتظارهم، إذ فتح عراقي النار بشكل مباشر وبكثافة تجاه القوة الرسمية. وأسفرت هذه المواجهة عن اغتيال ضابط برتبة عميد (مدير قسم شرطة الأمانة بجانب الكرخ) ومقتل شرطي كان يرافقه، بينما سقط 4 آخرون جرحى بين الحياة والموت، من بينهم موظف حكومي وعناصر من الشرطة الاتحادية.
ولم تمضِ دقائق حتى تحول موقع الحادثة إلى ثكنة عسكرية محاصرة بالكامل، حيث ضربت القوات طوقاً أمنياً فولاذياً وأغلقت منافذ المنطقة لمنع فرار الجناة. وبدأت عملية تمشيط خاطفة أسفرت عن سقوط المشتبه به الرئيسي في المصيدة الأمنية، بينما تتواصل التحقيقات لكشف الأسباب الحقيقية خلف هذا الاعتداء الدموي.
In a breath-holding moment, a routine law enforcement task in the heart of the Iraqi capital turned into a scene from a bloody movie, as the shock gripped the residents of the Dora area in Baghdad due to the sound of live gunfire that targeted security forces, leaving a tragedy that shook the military institution.
The spark ignited when the police patrols of the municipality and security arrived at the vicinity of the Dijla neighborhood to address violations and encroachments, but the crime scene was waiting for them, as an Iraqi opened fire directly and heavily at the official force. This confrontation resulted in the assassination of a police officer with the rank of brigadier general (the director of the municipality police department in the Karkh side) and the death of a policeman who was accompanying him, while 4 others were wounded between life and death, including a government employee and members of the federal police.
Within minutes, the incident site turned into a fully besieged military barracks, as the forces established a steel security cordon and closed the area’s exits to prevent the perpetrators from escaping. A swift combing operation led to the capture of the main suspect in the security trap, while investigations continue to uncover the real reasons behind this bloody attack.
