وجهت وزارة الداخلية المصرية ضربة أمنية جديدة إلى البؤر الإجرامية المتخصصة في جلب وتجارة المواد المخدرة والأسلحة النارية غير المرخصة، بعدما نجحت الأجهزة الأمنية في ضبط كميات كبيرة من المخدرات والأسلحة في عدد من المحافظات، فيما أسفر التعامل مع عناصر إجرامية شديدة الخطورة عن مقتل 4 منهم.
وتأتي العملية في إطار تحركات استباقية تستهدف منع وصول المخدرات والأسلحة إلى الأسواق، وإجهاض مخططات الاتجار بها قبل تنفيذها، بحسب بيان صادر عن وزارة الداخلية المصرية.
معلومات أمنية تكشف تحركات البؤر الإجرامية
وقالت وزارة الداخلية إن معلومات وتحريات قطاعي الأمن العام ومكافحة المخدرات والأسلحة والذخائر غير المرخصة، بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة المعنية بالوزارة، كشفت عن نشاط عدد من البؤر الإجرامية المنتشرة في عدة محافظات.
وأوضحت أن هذه البؤر تضم عناصر جنائية وصفتها بـ«شديدة الخطورة»، وكانت تعمل على جلب كميات من المواد المخدرة والأسلحة النارية غير المرخصة، تمهيداً للاتجار بها وترويجها.
وبعد استكمال الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة، شنت الأجهزة الأمنية حملات استهدفت عناصر هذه البؤر، بمشاركة قوات قطاع الأمن المركزي.
مقتل 4 عناصر في دمياط والدقهلية
وأسفرت المواجهات الأمنية عن مقتل 4 عناصر جنائية شديدة الخطورة في نطاق محافظتي دمياط والدقهلية، فيما تمكنت القوات من ضبط باقي عناصر البؤر المستهدفة.
وأشارت وزارة الداخلية إلى أن العناصر التي لقيت مصرعها سبق اتهامها والحكم عليها بالسجن في عدد من الجنايات، من بينها الشروع في القتل، والاتجار في المواد المخدرة، وحيازة أسلحة دون ترخيص، والسرقة بالإكراه.
أكثر من نصف طن مخدرات و121 قطعة سلاح
وخلال العمليات، تمكنت الأجهزة الأمنية من ضبط أكثر من نصف طن من المواد المخدرة المتنوعة، إلى جانب 121 قطعة سلاح ناري متنوعة.
وقدرت وزارة الداخلية القيمة المالية للمواد المخدرة التي جرى ضبطها بأكثر من 176 مليون جنيه مصري.
وأكدت الوزارة اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة حيال الوقائع والعناصر المضبوطة.
وتأتي هذه العملية ضمن سلسلة من التحركات الأمنية المصرية التي تستهدف ما تصفه وزارة الداخلية بالبؤر الإجرامية، خصوصاً العناصر المتورطة في جلب وتخزين وترويج المواد المخدرة أو حيازة الأسلحة النارية غير المرخصة.
وتواصل الأجهزة المختصة استكمال الإجراءات القانونية حيال المتهمين والمضبوطات، تمهيداً لعرض الوقائع على جهات التحقيق المختصة.
The Egyptian Ministry of Interior has dealt a new security blow to criminal hotspots specializing in the trafficking and trade of illegal drugs and firearms, after security forces succeeded in seizing large quantities of drugs and weapons in several governorates. This operation resulted in the killing of 4 highly dangerous criminal elements during confrontations.
This operation comes as part of proactive measures aimed at preventing the arrival of drugs and weapons to the markets and thwarting trafficking schemes before they are executed, according to a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Interior.
Security information reveals the movements of criminal hotspots
The Ministry of Interior stated that information and investigations from the General Security and Anti-Drug and Unlicensed Weapons and Ammunition sectors, in coordination with the relevant agencies within the ministry, revealed the activities of several criminal hotspots spread across several governorates.
It clarified that these hotspots include criminal elements described as "highly dangerous," who were working to bring in quantities of illegal drugs and firearms in preparation for trafficking and promotion.
After completing the necessary legal procedures, security forces launched campaigns targeting the elements of these hotspots, with the participation of Central Security Forces.
Death of 4 elements in Damietta and Dakahlia
The security confrontations resulted in the death of 4 highly dangerous criminal elements within the jurisdictions of Damietta and Dakahlia governorates, while the forces managed to apprehend the remaining elements of the targeted hotspots.
The Ministry of Interior indicated that the deceased elements had previously been accused and sentenced to prison for several felonies, including attempted murder, drug trafficking, possession of unlicensed firearms, and armed robbery.
More than half a ton of drugs and 121 firearms
During the operations, security forces managed to seize more than half a ton of various drugs, in addition to 121 assorted firearms.
The Ministry of Interior estimated the financial value of the seized drugs at more than 176 million Egyptian pounds.
The ministry confirmed that the necessary legal actions have been taken regarding the incidents and the seized elements.
This operation is part of a series of Egyptian security movements targeting what the Ministry of Interior describes as criminal hotspots, particularly the elements involved in the trafficking, storage, and promotion of illegal drugs or the possession of unlicensed firearms.
The relevant agencies continue to complete the legal procedures regarding the accused and the seized items, in preparation for presenting the incidents to the competent investigative authorities.
