بدلًا من الانتظار في طوابير الزحام، قرر رجل أمريكي أن يجعل طريقه إلى التسوق أقصر وأكثر إثارة، فاستبدل بسيارته طائرة صغيرة حطّ بها مباشرة في موقف متجره المفضل، في مشهد غير مألوف أثار اهتمام الشرطة والمتابعين.
وقالت شرطة مقاطعة واشنطن في ولاية ويسكونسن، وفقًا لصحيفة «نيويورك بوست»، إن الرجل البالغ من العمر 69 عامًا أقلع بطائرته من قرية روزنديل متجهًا إلى متجر «كابيلا» المتخصص في مستلزمات الصيد والتخييم بمدينة ريتشفيلد.
وبحسب السلطات، هبطت الطائرة في موقف السيارات التابع للمتجر نحو الساعة السادسة مساءً، في رحلة جوية اختصر خلالها مسافة كان من المتوقع أن تستغرق نحو ساعة كاملة بالسيارة.
وأظهر مقطع فيديو نشرته الشرطة لحظة وصول عناصرها إلى موقع الهبوط، حيث بدت الطائرة متوقفة بشكل آمن في منطقة خالية من موقف السيارات، دون وقوع أي أضرار أو حوادث.
وعندما سأل الضباط قائد الطائرة عن سبب اختياره هذه الوسيلة غير التقليدية للوصول إلى المتجر، أجاب ببساطة: «كانت الرحلة طويلة للغاية».
وأكدت الشرطة أن الرجل كان يحمل التراخيص اللازمة لقيادة الطائرة، وأنه التزم باللوائح الفيدرالية الخاصة بالطيران، كما تعاون بشكل كامل مع السلطات خلال إجراءات التحقق.
ووصف مكتب شرطة مقاطعة واشنطن الواقعة بأنها «طريقة فريدة للقيام برحلة تسوق»، مشيرًا إلى أن الطيار لم يتعرض لأي مخالفات قانونية مرتبطة بهذه الرحلة الجوية غير المعتادة.
Instead of waiting in crowded lines, an American man decided to make his shopping trip shorter and more exciting by replacing his car with a small plane, landing directly in the parking lot of his favorite store, in an unusual scene that caught the attention of the police and onlookers.
According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office in Wisconsin, as reported by the New York Post, the 69-year-old man took off from Rosendale village heading to the Cabela's store, which specializes in hunting and camping supplies, in Richfield.
Authorities stated that the plane landed in the store's parking lot around 6 PM, on a flight that shortened a journey expected to take about an hour by car.
A video released by the police showed the moment their officers arrived at the landing site, where the plane appeared to be safely parked in an empty area of the parking lot, with no damage or incidents reported.
When officers asked the pilot why he chose this unconventional method to reach the store, he simply replied, "The trip was way too long."
The police confirmed that the man held the necessary licenses to operate the plane and complied with federal aviation regulations, cooperating fully with authorities during the verification process.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office described the incident as "a unique way to go shopping," noting that the pilot faced no legal violations related to this unusual flight.
