أدانت محكمة برج بوعريريج شرقي الجزائر، شخصاً بالسجن النافذ لمدة 4 سنوات وتغريمه 200 ألف دينار، إثر ثبوت تورطه في سلسلة سرقات استهدفت عدداً من مساجد المنطقة، وهي الواقعة التي أثارت موجة من الاستنكار والجدل في الشارع المحلي نظراً لحرمة دور العبادة.
وكانت مصالح الأمن بالولاية قد تعقبت المتهم بناءً على تحريات مكثفة حول نشاطه المشبوه داخل المساجد، قبل أن تنجح في إلقاء القبض عليه. وأوضحت المصادر أن القوات الأمنية ضبطت بحوزته مبالغ مالية ضخمة ترجح التحقيقات القضائية أنها حصيلة سرقات متتالية من صناديق التبرعات وأمانات المساجد، ليصدر بحقه الحكم الرادع بعد استكمال الإجراءات القانونية.
