منحت الجمهورية الفرنسية سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين فهد بن معيوف الرويلي وسام «الاستحقاق الفرنسي من درجة قائد»؛ بمناسبة انتهاء مهام عمله، وذلك خلال حفل أقامته وزارة الخارجية الفرنسية، بحضور عدد من كبار المسؤولين وأعضاء البرلمان الفرنسي والسفراء المعتمدين وأعضاء السفارة.
وأعرب مدير إدارة شمال أفريقيا والشرق الأوسط بوزارة الخارجية روماريك روانيان عن الشكر للسفير الرويلي لما بذله من جهود خلال فترة عمله لتعزيز العلاقات السعودية الفرنسية، مشيداً بما تشهده هذه العلاقات من تعاون وشراكات وثيقة على الأصعدة كافة.
بدوره، عبر السفير الرويلي عن امتنانه لهذا التكريم الرفيع الذي يأتي في إطار ما تشهده علاقات البلدين من تقدم واسع، والتطلع لتعزيزها لما فيه المصلحة المشتركة للبلدين الصديقين.
The French Republic awarded the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Fahd bin Mayouf Al-Ruwaili, the "French Order of Merit at the rank of Commander" on the occasion of the conclusion of his duties, during a ceremony held by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended by a number of senior officials, members of the French Parliament, accredited ambassadors, and embassy staff.
The Director of the North Africa and Middle East Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Romaric Rouanian, expressed gratitude to Ambassador Al-Ruwaili for his efforts during his tenure to enhance Saudi-French relations, praising the cooperation and close partnerships that these relations have witnessed on all levels.
For his part, Ambassador Al-Ruwaili expressed his gratitude for this high honor, which comes within the framework of the significant progress in the relations between the two countries, and his eagerness to further strengthen them for the mutual benefit of the two friendly nations.
