حذر تصنيف الأمم المتحدة المرحلي للأمن الغذائي من أن أكثر من 1.4 مليون شخص في غزة ما زالوا يعانون من انعدام الأمن الغذائي الحاد، خصوصاً في المناطق القريبة من الحدود العسكرية الإسرائيلية، حيث يصعب وصول المساعدات الإنسانية، بينهم 212 ألفاً في مرحلة الطوارئ، ويحتاج 1000 طفل للعلاج من سوء التغذية الحاد خلال العام القادم.
ودعت منظمات الفاو، واليونيسيف، وبرنامج الأغذية العالمي إلى استمرار تدفق المساعدات عبر جميع المعابر، وتوسيع الحركة التجارية، وإدخال مواد الإيواء والوقود ومدخلات الإنتاج الزراعي، وتوفير التمويل العاجل لمنع تدهور الأوضاع الإنسانية ودعم الأمن الغذائي والصحة والمياه الصالحة للشرب وسبل العيش.
The United Nations' interim classification of food security warned that more than 1.4 million people in Gaza are still suffering from severe food insecurity, especially in areas close to the Israeli military border, where access to humanitarian aid is difficult. Among them, 212,000 are in a state of emergency, and 1,000 children need treatment for acute malnutrition over the coming year.
FAO, UNICEF, and the World Food Programme called for the continued flow of aid through all crossings, the expansion of trade movement, the entry of shelter materials and fuel, agricultural production inputs, and the provision of urgent funding to prevent the deterioration of humanitarian conditions and to support food security, health, clean water, and livelihoods.
