بعد أيام من الحريق الذي هز الرأي العام في الجزائر وخلف خسائر بشرية مؤلمة، أعلنت السلطات نتائج التحقيقات الأولية، كاشفة أن خللًا كهربائيًا كان الشرارة التي أشعلت النيران داخل مؤسسة لرعاية الأطفال في بلدة المحمدية بالعاصمة، في حادثة أسفرت عن وفاة 11 شخصًا وإصابة 19 آخرين.
وأفادت المديرية العامة للأمن الوطني، وفق ما نقلته وسائل إعلام محلية، بأن فرق التحقيق والشرطة العلمية باشرت معاينة موقع الحادثة فور السيطرة على الحريق، حيث أظهرت الفحوص الفنية أن النيران اندلعت نتيجة شرارة كهربائية صدرت من جهاز تكييف مثبت في إحدى غرف الطابق الأول بالمبنى.
ووفق المعطيات الأولية، فإن تشغيل جهاز التكييف لفترة طويلة بالتزامن مع موجة الحر التي تشهدها عدة مناطق في البلاد أدى إلى حدوث الخلل الكهربائي الذي تسبب في اندلاع الحريق، فيما تواصل الجهات المختصة استكمال التحقيقات لكشف جميع الملابسات المحيطة بالواقعة.
وأكدت السلطات أن قائمة الضحايا شملت مربية تبلغ من العمر 52 عامًا، إلى جانب عدد من الأطفال المقيمين في المؤسسة، في واحدة من أكثر الحوادث الإنسانية إيلامًا التي شهدتها البلاد خلال الفترة الأخيرة.
وشُيعت جنازات الضحايا مساء الخميس في أجواء من الحزن، بمشاركة مسؤولين حكوميين وممثلين عن السلطات المحلية، فيما خيمت حالة من التأثر على الشارع الجزائري.
وعلى المستوى الرسمي، أعرب الرئيس الجزائري عبدالمجيد تبون عن بالغ حزنه إزاء الحادثة، مقدمًا تعازيه لأسر الضحايا، ومتمنيًا الشفاء العاجل للمصابين.
كما أجرى رئيس الوزراء سيفي غريب جولة ميدانية شملت عددًا من مستشفيات العاصمة، بينها مستشفى الحروق الكبرى في زرالدة ومستشفى مصطفى باشا، للاطلاع على أوضاع المصابين ومتابعة مستوى الرعاية الصحية المقدمة لهم، في إطار المتابعة الحكومية لتداعيات الحادثة.
Days after the fire that shook public opinion in Algeria and caused painful human losses, the authorities announced the results of the preliminary investigations, revealing that an electrical malfunction was the spark that ignited the flames inside a childcare institution in the town of Mohammadia in the capital, in an incident that resulted in the death of 11 people and the injury of 19 others.
The General Directorate of National Security reported, according to local media, that investigation teams and forensic police began examining the site of the incident as soon as the fire was brought under control, where technical examinations showed that the fire broke out due to an electrical spark emitted from an air conditioning unit installed in one of the rooms on the first floor of the building.
According to preliminary data, the prolonged operation of the air conditioning unit in conjunction with the heatwave affecting several regions of the country led to the electrical malfunction that caused the fire, while the relevant authorities continue to complete the investigations to uncover all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The authorities confirmed that the list of victims included a 52-year-old caregiver, along with several children residing in the institution, in one of the most painful humanitarian incidents the country has witnessed in recent times.
The funerals of the victims were held on Thursday evening in a somber atmosphere, attended by government officials and representatives of local authorities, while a state of sorrow enveloped the Algerian street.
On the official level, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune expressed his deep sorrow over the incident, offering his condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
Prime Minister Aïmene Benabderrahmane also conducted a field tour that included several hospitals in the capital, including the Great Burns Hospital in Zeralda and Mustapha Pasha Hospital, to assess the conditions of the injured and monitor the level of healthcare provided to them, as part of the government's follow-up on the repercussions of the incident.
