أعلنت هيئة الأرصاد الجوية الإسبانية اليوم، حالة تأهب قصوى من المستوى الأحمر، وهو أعلى مستوى إنذار في ثلاث مناطق شرق البلاد، متوقعة أن تتجاوز الحرارة 40 درجة مئوية.
ويُتوقع أن تكون مناطق أراغون وكتالونيا وفالنسيا من الأكثر تضررًا من موجة الحر الجديدة التي تجتاح جنوب أوروبا هذا الأسبوع، حيث يتوقع خبراء الأرصاد استمرارها حتى الخميس.
ويحذر الإنذار الأحمر من تداعيات قد تكون «خطيرة جدًا» على صحة السكان وسلامة الممتلكات.
وموجة الحرّ الحالية هي الثانية هذا الصيف، بعد أولى شهدها يونيو الذي صُنّف ثاني أكثر شهر حرًا منذ بدء تسجيل البيانات، مع متوسط حرارة أعلى من المعدل الطبيعي بمقدار 3,2 درجة مئوية، بحسب وكالة الأرصاد الجوية الإسبانية، وشهدت إسبانيا خلال الصيف الماضي أسوأ حرائق غابات في تاريخها الحديث.
The Spanish Meteorological Agency announced today a maximum alert status of red level, which is the highest warning level in three regions in the east of the country, expecting temperatures to exceed 40 degrees Celsius.
It is expected that the regions of Aragon, Catalonia, and Valencia will be among the most affected by the new heatwave sweeping through Southern Europe this week, with meteorologists predicting that it will continue until Thursday.
The red alert warns of potential consequences that could be "very serious" for the health of the population and the safety of property.
This current heatwave is the second this summer, following the first one experienced in June, which was classified as the second hottest month since data recording began, with an average temperature 3.2 degrees Celsius above the normal rate, according to the Spanish Meteorological Agency. Last summer, Spain experienced the worst wildfires in its modern history.
