حذرت هيئة حوض نهر «بو» اليوم من أن العديد من الأنهار في شمال إيطاليا تمر بوضع حرج بسبب الجفاف، مؤكدةً أن قبضة الجفاف تزداد قسوة على شمال إيطاليا.
وفي منطقة بيدمونت «تعاني المجاري المائية، ويواجه القطاع الزراعي صعوبات، ما يضطره إلى الاختيار بين المحاصيل التي سيتم زرعها».
وبحسب خبراء المناخ في منظمة إسناد أحوال الطقس العالمي (World Weather Attribution) فإن موجة الحر التي ضربت أوروبا في يونيو الماضي كانت ستكون شبه مستحيلة لولا تغير المناخ.
