أعلنت وزارة الداخلية القطرية، أمس (الأحد)، وقوع انفجار داخل أحد المصانع في منطقة رأس لفان شمال شرقي البلاد، موضحة أن الحادث نجم عن خلل فني، دون تسجيل أي إصابات أو رصد أي تسرب.
وأكدت الوزارة، في بيان، أن الجهات المختصة تعاملت مع الحادث وفق الإجراءات المتبعة، فيما لم ترد معلومات عن تأثيرات خارج نطاق المصنع.
وتُعد رأس لفان من أبرز المناطق الصناعية في قطر، إذ تضم مرافق رئيسية لإنتاج وتصدير الغاز الطبيعي المسال والصناعات البتروكيماوية، إلى جانب أحد أهم الموانئ المتخصصة في قطاع الطاقة.
The Qatari Ministry of Interior announced yesterday (Sunday) that an explosion occurred inside one of the factories in the Ras Laffan area in the northeast of the country, explaining that the incident was caused by a technical malfunction, with no injuries reported and no leaks detected.
The ministry confirmed, in a statement, that the relevant authorities dealt with the incident according to the established procedures, while no information was reported regarding impacts outside the factory.
Ras Laffan is one of the most prominent industrial areas in Qatar, as it includes major facilities for the production and export of liquefied natural gas and petrochemical industries, in addition to one of the most important ports specialized in the energy sector.
