تحوّل نزاع عائلي قديم على قطعة أرض في ريف محافظة السليمانية، شمال العراق، إلى مواجهة مسلحة انتهت بمأساة إنسانية، بعدما فقد طفل حياته وأصيب والده بجروح خطيرة.
خلاف يتجدد
المواجهة اندلعت في قضاء دوكان بين عائلتين تربطهما صلة قرابة، إثر خلاف متراكم بين أبناء عمومة حول ملكية أرض، قبل أن يتطور الموقف إلى تبادل لإطلاق النار.
ضحية بريئة
الاشتباكات أسفرت عن إصابة طفل يبلغ من العمر سبعة أعوام برفقة والده. ورغم نقلهما إلى المستشفى، فإن الطفل فارق الحياة متأثراً بإصابته، بينما لا يزال والده في حالة حرجة.
تحرك أمني
قائمقام قضاء دوكان، سيروان سرحد، أوضح أن الأجهزة الأمنية تدخلت بعد الحادث مباشرة، وتمكنت من إلقاء القبض على المتهم، فيما باشرت الشرطة فتح تحقيق لكشف ملابسات الواقعة.
A long-standing family dispute over a piece of land in the rural area of Sulaymaniyah province, northern Iraq, escalated into an armed confrontation that ended in a humanitarian tragedy, after a child lost his life and his father sustained serious injuries.
Renewed Dispute
The confrontation erupted in the district of Dukan between two families related by kinship, following a long-standing disagreement among cousins over land ownership, before the situation escalated into an exchange of gunfire.
Innocent Victim
The clashes resulted in a seven-year-old child being injured along with his father. Despite being transferred to the hospital, the child succumbed to his injuries, while his father remains in critical condition.
Security Action
The mayor of Dukan district, Sirwan Sarhad, explained that security forces intervened immediately after the incident and were able to arrest the suspect, while the police began an investigation to uncover the circumstances of the incident.
