أعلنت وزيرة الصحة في إسبانيا، مساء (الأحد)، أن عمليات إجلاء الركاب من سفينة الرحلات البحرية المتوقفة قرب تينيريفي، والتي شهدت تفشياً لفايروس هانتا القاتل، ستُستكمل عبر آخر رحلتين جويتين يوم الاثنين، في وقت تتسارع فيه الجهود لإنهاء واحدة من أكثر الحوادث الصحية حساسية في البحر.
وحتى الآن، تم إجلاء 94 راكباً من السفينة، فيما تستعد رحلة تنظمها أستراليا لنقل 6 ركاب، وأخرى تنظمها نيوزيلندا لنقل 18 راكباً إضافياً، إلى جانب ركاب من دول أخرى لم تُرسل رحلات خاصة بها، وفق ترتيبات دولية عاجلة.
وفي سياق متصل، كانت منظمة الصحة العالمية قد أعلنت الجمعة تسجيل 8 إصابات مؤكدة بالفيروس، من بينها 3 حالات وفاة، شملت زوجين هولنديين ومواطناً ألمانيا، بينما تأكدت إصابة 6 حالات مخبرياً، مع الاشتباه في حالتين إضافيتين.
من جهته، أوضح المركز الأوروبي للوقاية من الأمراض أن الركاب سيُصنفون بدرجات متفاوتة من الخطورة الصحية بعد النزول من السفينة، مشيراً إلى أن ليس جميعهم سيُعتبرون ضمن الفئة عالية الخطورة عند عودتهم إلى بلدانهم.
ودعا المركز إلى إعطاء الأولوية للحالات التي تظهر عليها أعراض لإجراء الفحوصات الطبية فور وصولها، مع إمكانية إخضاع بعض الركاب للعزل في تينيريفي أو نقلهم طبياً إلى أوطانهم وفق تقييم الحالة الصحية لكل فرد.
The Spanish Minister of Health announced on Sunday evening that the evacuation of passengers from the cruise ship stranded near Tenerife, which has experienced an outbreak of the deadly Hantavirus, will be completed via the last two flights on Monday, as efforts accelerate to resolve one of the most sensitive health incidents at sea.
So far, 94 passengers have been evacuated from the ship, while a flight organized by Australia is preparing to transport 6 passengers, and another organized by New Zealand will carry an additional 18 passengers, along with travelers from other countries that have not sent their own special flights, according to urgent international arrangements.
In a related context, the World Health Organization announced on Friday that 8 confirmed cases of the virus have been recorded, including 3 fatalities, which involved a Dutch couple and a German citizen, while 6 cases have been confirmed in the lab, with 2 additional cases under suspicion.
For its part, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control clarified that passengers will be classified into varying degrees of health risk after disembarking from the ship, noting that not all of them will be considered part of the high-risk category upon their return to their countries.
The centre urged prioritizing cases that show symptoms for medical examinations immediately upon arrival, with the possibility of subjecting some passengers to isolation in Tenerife or medically transporting them to their home countries based on the health assessment of each individual.
