لقي 5 أشخاص مصرعهم، فيما لا يزال أكثر من 25 آخرين عالقين تحت الأنقاض، إثر انهيار منجم للتنقيب عن الذهب شرق السودان.
وأفادت شبكة أطباء السودان -في بيان أمس- أن فرق الإنقاذ تواصل عملياتها لانتشال العالقين داخل منجم «كليتي» الواقع في منطقة القنب والأوليب بولاية البحر الأحمر، وتمكنت حتى الآن من انتشال خمسة جثامين، إلى جانب نقل عدد من المصابين إلى مدينة بورتسودان لتلقي العلاج، فيما تتواصل الجهود للوصول إلى بقية العالقين داخل الآبار وعلى أعماق كبيرة.
وبينت أن عمليات الإنقاذ تواجه صعوبات كبيرة بسبب نقص الإمكانيات والمعدات اللازمة، مما يهدد بتفاقم الخسائر البشرية في حال تأخر الوصول إلى المحاصرين.
Five people have died, while more than 25 others remain trapped under the rubble following the collapse of a gold mining site in eastern Sudan.
The Sudan Doctors Network reported yesterday that rescue teams are continuing their operations to retrieve those trapped inside the "Kleiti" mine located in the Al-Qunb and Al-Oleib area of the Red Sea State. So far, they have managed to recover five bodies, in addition to transporting several injured individuals to Port Sudan for treatment, while efforts continue to reach the remaining trapped individuals inside the shafts at great depths.
It indicated that the rescue operations are facing significant challenges due to a lack of necessary resources and equipment, which threatens to exacerbate the human losses if the rescuers are delayed in reaching the trapped individuals.
