تحولت شقة سكنية في هونغ كونغ إلى موقع كارثة بعد اندلاع حريق مروع تسبب فيه شاحن هاتف محمول، أدى إلى إصابة 4 أشخاص ونفوق قطة، وسط صدمة سكان المجمع السكني.
وقالت الشرطة المحلية إن الحريق اندلع نحو الساعة الـ11:15 مساءً في شقة بمبنى فو ييو هاوس ضمن مجمع لاي ييو السكني في منطقة كواي تشونغ، فيما هرعت فرق الإطفاء بسرعة للسيطرة على النيران ومنع انتشارها إلى الشقق المجاورة.
وأوضحت إدارة الإطفاء أن المصابين هم رجلان وامرأتان تتراوح أعمارهم بين 42 و75 عامًا، نُقلوا إلى مستشفى برينسس مارغريت لتلقي العلاج. 3 منهم عانوا من مضاعفات ناجمة عن استنشاق الدخان، بينما أصيبت سيدة تبلغ 69 عامًا بحروق في ساقها أثناء محاولتها مواجهة النيران.
وأسفر الحريق أيضًا عن نفوق قطة الضحية، بعد أن اندلعت النيران في الهاتف أثناء الشحن، واضطرت المالكة لمغادرة الشقة طلبًا للمساعدة. وأكدت التحقيقات الأولية أن السبب تماس كهربائي في الشاحن، مع استبعاد أي شبهة جنائية أو عمل متعمد.
وبسبب الحريق، جرى إخلاء نحو 150 من سكان المبنى مؤقتًا كإجراء احترازي، قبل السماح لهم بالعودة تدريجيًا بعد التأكد من سلامة الموقع وعدم وجود مخاطر إضافية.
An apartment in Hong Kong turned into a disaster site after a horrific fire caused by a mobile phone charger, resulting in the injury of 4 people and the death of a cat, amid the shock of the residents of the housing complex.
The local police stated that the fire broke out around 11:15 PM in an apartment in the Fu Yiu House within the Lai Yiu housing complex in the Kwai Chung area, while firefighting teams rushed quickly to control the flames and prevent their spread to neighboring apartments.
The fire department clarified that the injured include two men and two women aged between 42 and 75, who were taken to Princess Margaret Hospital for treatment. Three of them suffered complications from smoke inhalation, while a 69-year-old woman sustained burns on her leg while trying to fight the flames.
The fire also resulted in the death of the victim's cat after the flames erupted from the phone while it was charging, forcing the owner to leave the apartment in search of help. Preliminary investigations confirmed that the cause was an electrical short circuit in the charger, ruling out any criminal suspicion or intentional act.
Due to the fire, about 150 residents of the building were temporarily evacuated as a precautionary measure, before being allowed to gradually return after ensuring the safety of the site and the absence of additional risks.
