وقّعت شركة تيك توك اتفاقاً لبيع كيانها في الولايات المتحدة إلى شركة مشتركة يسيطر عليها مستثمرون أمريكيون، وفق مذكرة داخلية اطّلع عليها موقع «أكسيوس».
ويغلق الاتفاق ملفاً استمر لسنوات بهدف إجبار الشركة الأم الصينية (بايت دانس) على بيع عمليات «تيك توك» في الولايات المتحدة، بدعوى مخاوف تتعلق بالأمن القومي.
وتقرر إتمام الصفقة في 22 يناير القادم، بحسب المذكرة الداخلية التي أرسلها الرئيس التنفيذي لـ«تيك توك» شو تشيو، وستمتلك كل من أوراكل وسيلفر ليك وصندوق MGX الاستثماري ما مجموعه 45% من الكيان الأمريكي، وسيكون ثلث الشركة بيد جهات تابعة لمستثمرين حاليين في «بايت دانس»، في حين ستحتفظ «بايت دانس» بنحو 20% من الملكية.
TikTok has signed an agreement to sell its entity in the United States to a joint venture controlled by American investors, according to an internal memo obtained by Axios.
The agreement closes a file that has lasted for years aimed at forcing the Chinese parent company (ByteDance) to sell TikTok's operations in the United States, citing national security concerns.
The deal is set to be completed on January 22, according to the internal memo sent by TikTok CEO Shou Chew, and Oracle, Silver Lake, and the MGX investment fund will collectively own 45% of the American entity, with one-third of the company in the hands of entities affiliated with current investors in ByteDance, while ByteDance will retain about 20% of the ownership.
