واعترفت المتهمة بالذنب في تهمتي إساءة معاملة الطفل وإهماله، في حين يشير خبراء إلى أن مثل هذه القضايا تتكرر، مثل حادثة ترينيتي بوغ في جورجيا التي أدينت بقتل طفل يبلغ 18 شهرًا بعد ضربه حتى الموت وحُكم عليها بالسجن المؤبد مع إمكانية الإفراج المشروط بعد 30 عامًا.
